CANAGROW CG2400 LED Grow Light for Indoor Plants 4x4ft Coverage with High Yield Diodes Sunlike Full Spectrum Dimmable

I purchased this grow light bar for a hydroponic indoor lettuce growing project. I wanted to test this product against a few others I have ordered (also on Amazon). The light arrived very quickly and was packaged decently for safe transport. This 'Canagrow CG-400 LED' grow light bar utilizes newer LEDs indicated by the high μmol output. Measuring a light by lumens is for humans. Plants should be measured by μmol/PAR to equate the PPFD . This specific bar LED actually achieves the stated μmols that is advertised in their marketing when measured with an Apogee MQ-500 Quantum PAR meter. These type of LED grow lights have come a long way since inception, therefore it runs very efficiently. This can effectively replace a 200w-300w Sodium Halide grow light (but coverage of this light is recommended for a 2ftx2ft area rather than a 4x4ft area) while only pulling roughly 50w from the wall and delivers a more even coverage than a bulb+reflector which suffers from spotlight intensity. You also benefit from an absence of heat buildup due to the LED efficiency. This is ideal for a grow tent, cabinet, or indoor growing environment. Additionally modern LEDs have 10x+ the lifespan of a bulb while never diminishing in intensity. This light has a plexiglass or polycarbonate cover plate over the LEDs, giving this light a "water resistant" rating. It seems that the plate could easily be removed for cleaning although I did not have to remove it. It is lightweight and can be mounted with the included clips and wire. The bar can be controlled by an external timer (not included) and does not require an On/Off switch as some other lights require. I have had this light for a few weeks and it is producing ideal growing results with my hydroponic lettuce project, therefore I do recommend this for others. Read more

This thing is very bright, you are able to adjust the light density, I have in in a 8x4 tent and lights up the whole tent. This thing gets very hot and you will need to use a fan over it to keep it cool. Read more

This grow light works great! Turns on and off as I set it to. It gives the correct lighting to keep my Eugenia topiaries healthy and vibrant green. I have this hanging in my garage over 6 topiary Plants that I brought in to winter over. I truly am amazed at the quality of this lamp. I highly recommend this lamp, you won’t be disappointed. CG2400 unit. I'll give it a 5 for now. Using in a 3x3 tent. 1st run went extremely well with 3 photos. Has a dimmer that works well. No other automation. I use a smart ac infinity plug for scheduling. Does produce some heat, around 4 to 8 degrees difference from outside the tent. If they sold the same unit with a detachable power unit to mount outside the tent they would sell like hotcakes. Read more

Very bright! High uniform ppfd great for a 2x2 space. Dimmer works phenomenally, good spectrum, no issues so far. Better than similarly priced well known brands such as the fecida 130w model, imo this is the best bang for your buck on the market hands down. Read more
