I am using crutches to motor around after surgery and needed a cross body bag to use to help me carry things around with me (ice packs, water bottles, etc.) from room to room. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this bag was made considering the low and reasonable price I paid for it. It is a seemingly sturdy canvas material and the adjustment piece is made of heavy duty plastic. The side pockets are big enough to hold my 40 oz insulated cup. The front pockets have no closure, but since I'm using it at home, I don't mind. The front pocket holds my big old galaxy s22 ultra in a chunky case. The inside holds my 15 inch laptop in its protective case and with room to spare. Canvas is floppy and literally just hold things for me like a giant pocket.There is no structure or lining, this is what I wanted. There is an internal pocket for keys or whatever little things you don't want to go digging for. There is also a zipper closure for the main part of the bag. This bag is as basic as it gets. I work in a clinic, so this may end up eventually being a work bag for me. I love the pockets and the vintage appearance. I can also appreciate its slouchy appearance when it's not overly full. So far, the tiny splashes of water I've accidentally spilled on it seem to just roll off. I'm sure that with time, it might need some waterproofing. Nevertheless, I am happy with this purchase. I can carry all my stuff to work easily. Switch, kindle, travel coffee mug, water bottle, notebook. It also does double duty as a diaper bag when I'm out on short trips with my kids. It holds a TON of stuff. I stuff it with smaller bags to help organize it a bit. Then I can just remove bags that I don't need for that day. I never close the zipper, but it seems good quality. I was carrying two bags to work every day - a handbag and a market tote - so I bought this to consolidate everything. This bag is much larger than I thought it would be. The end pockets fit a 40 oz stainless steel bottle so I can carry my 40 oz and a 20 oz that I keep coffee in. It holds my 11 inch Chromebook and a 10 inch iPad plus a variety of small pouches the size of a makeup bag. There is an inside pocket with a zip pocket that holds my small wallet and ear buds. Outside pockets are deep but no snap or Velcro closure to secure contents. Should be able to easily fix that. Great for car keys or phone. When it's loaded up it's quite heavy and slightly awkward to carry but it does the job. Love the adjustable strap. I can carry it higher like a handbag or low across my body when it's extra heavy. This thing is HUGE. It is NOT a shoulder bag, it is a very LARGE satchel, and the best way to carry it is cross-body. The pockets are really nice, and there are plenty of them, so if you need a "hauls-all" bag that is sturdy and not made of plastic, I can REALLY recommend this one. Good quality canvas, great value for money! (I ended up returning it and finding something smaller so I wouldn't end up with shoulder or back strain---but it's really a nice, zippable bag). I had to remove 2 stars due to the smell such a cute bag for a nice price only downside is the smell..
