This is a very nice quality canvas tote bag that holds a surprising amount of stuff. The exterior canvas fabric is both nice looking and very durable. The handle straps seem strong and very well attached. The interior fabric has a nice look and feel to it, though it seems thin and may not hold up to many years of wear and tear, or contact with sharp and pointy objects that may rattle around in the bag. This seems like a trade-off, as thicker or more durable fabric inside would either have a plastic look and feel or be inflexible, though I have to think some of the larger pockets and dividers inside could have been made with the same canvas as the exterior for increased durability. I was surprised at how much could easily fit into the bag. I tossed in a 14" laptop and 10" tablet inside it's own protective sleeve. They fit together in a single velcro strapped interior compartment, or the 10" tablet could also fit in the exterior zippered pocket for easier access. Along with the laptop and tablet I tossed a bulkier Steam Deck in it's case into the main compartment, and threw a roll-up inflatable seat cushion on top of that. The interior side pockets still had room for charging cables, a pen, some small fidget toys, wet wipes, and other miscellany. The key attachment inside is nice. Each end of the bag on the outside has a pocket big enough for normal sized water bottles. With all this stuff inside, I was surprised to find the bag both zipped up easily, and didn't bulge at all. It could easily hold more, and I didn't utilize most of the outside pockets at all. Personally, I prefer a messenger bag style, and wish this bag had a shoulder strap or at least attachments I could add my own. But, it isn't that style of bag, so can't hold that against it, and the hand straps are actually plenty long enough to throw the bag over your shoulder if you need to free up your hands. I'm not really familiar with the price of bags these days. This bag is replacing the US made Trager Seattle messenger bag I bought at the UW bookstore in the late 1990s and probably paid $20-$30 for at the time. I doubt this bag will last anywhere near 30 years before the inside lining all falls apart, but at under $40 in 2025 money, it seems like a good value. I expect the exterior canvas and main body of the bag to hold up for several years. Read more

I ordered this canvas tote bag to be my husband’s “personal item” when flying, as the bag he currently uses is very small, and he often asks me to carry his stuff in my bigger bag. It’s so large and has so many compartments, that it could hold enough for both of us! The heavy-duty canvas looks like stonewashed black jeans. It has a slight odor that smells like new jeans, too, but it quickly faded. All of the zipper pulls are antique brass, and their tabs and other accents are made of genuine leather. The bag’s exterior has two large open pockets on one side, and a single large zippered pocket on the other side. Both ends have pockets to hold bottles. The handles are made of sturdy canvas strapping, and are long enough to go over the shoulder, but short enough to be carried in your hand without dragging on the ground. The interior has a slot on one wall with an elastic/velcro strap that would hold & support any size of laptop. There’s padding on the inside only of that pocket, but anything kept in the two outside pockets could provide extra protection. There’s a narrow zippered pocket that runs the full length of the middle of the bag that would keep paperwork flat, or hold a tablet (electronic or paper). There’s a series of pockets along the other inside wall, including a short zippered one. The bottom of the bag has some type of stiffener sewn in to help the bag stand independently, but it would also require that there are things inside, as it’s a bit floppy while empty. The only thing I’m not happy about is that the bag was folded in half along the stiffener, so it lost some of its integrity. It would also be helpful if this bag had the outer sleeve that slides over your rollerboard carryon extended handle, but since this bag isn’t being promoted for air travel at all, I can’t fault it for not including this feature. A couple of special touches include a plastic airtag holder with a key ring, and an external zipper across the top to hold the bag together and ensure nothing will fall out. This bag will easily fit under the smallest airline seats. Overall, this is an outstanding sturdy bag with so many options and compartments you’ll forget where you put things! It has masculine styling that appeals to my husband, so he’s excited to use it on our next trip. The bag is an exceptional value at under $40. Currently there’s a coupon making it a steal at only $31.12. I highly recommend this bag for business and/or travel. Read more

This is my new everyday office bag. It is sturdy- the canvas is heavy duty and the straps have a good length that I can carry on my shoulders even when it’s packed full. I love that it zips across the top so I’m not worried about things falling out. It easily fits my laptop, iPad, files, planner with room left over for miscellaneous items. The bag itself is easy to clean- I have animals and the pet hairs doesn’t cling to the fabric. Read more
