4.5/5 IMO No YouTube guide or instructions on how to uninstall OEM fuel door. I determined best way to re-use OEM door if I needed to one day, was to unhook the door from two spots (outlined in photo.) I used a small pry bar (the size of a regular screw driver) and gentle worked the two hooks outward. Screws included seemed to work great on 3/4 slots. I'll need a thicker screw for one of the slots. Might be the factory plastic and issues it brings but install took me less than 5 mins once OEM door was unhinged. New fuel door fits great in my 4 door double cab 2023 Tacoma Trail Edition. I'll return to this review after some time and usage to see how it's held up. Read more

The good- The gas door is heavy duty, appears to be well made and has a good fit on the vehicles that are listed. However, I believe it's a bit on the pricy side. The not so good- If you are leaving it the original black color, make sure you put a a couple of layers of high grade clear coat on it before installing. Personally, I need more than 2 keys as I like to keep spares on hand and with no reference numbers on the keys, just where am I suppose to get them? F.Y.I. the original gas door support/hinge bracket stays on your truck because it's riveted on there and you don't need to remove it. You will need to cut the original gas door spring pin with diagonal cutters to remove it or you risk damaging the factory gas door trying to remove it. The screws that come with the new gas door are too small in diameter to get a good bite. Get either # 12 or #14 pan head stainless steel screws. 2 ea. 1.25" long and 2 ea. 1.5" long and save yourself the frustration. The new gas door spacers are 3 different sizes for a reason; but it does help to know where they are suppose to go. Smallest size - 2 ea. go upper left and lower right. Longest size - 1 ea. goes upper right and Mid size - 1 ea. goes lower left. I hope this is a help to all. Now, I just have to find some spare keys. Read more
This is a great product. I absolutely enjoy it and looks good and works well except I believe due to having a long bed instead of the short bed it doesn't sit as flush when fasting it to the side of the truck. The picture is on a short bed installment. I have a long bed Tacoma and it sits a little separated on the top left corner away from the bed of the truck. So there is a small gap which is super unsatisfactory since it doesn't seem to sit flush on that side. But overall the product is great. The idea is fantastic. The installment didn't take long a little strenuous to get those hinges pulled back in order to get the original door off. But overall quick install after that Read more

It fit my 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport, standard size bed, perfectly. I like the way it matches the curve. I was worried about wind noise or rattle or looseness, but it fits great! As another reviewer mentioned, if the old door is still on, you will have to find a way to disconnect it. I was able to cut off the spring but that wasn't enough. I then carefully pried open the metal lip holding the rod on the door. Just a little bit of work is all you need. Also, as so many reviewers have noted, the included screws are just not wide enough to use for your installation. Previous reviewer Scarecrow, suggested #12 or #14 pan head steel screws 2 at 1.25" long and 2 at 1.5" long. I used #12 screws for all four then found that two of them wouldn't completely tighten so I used the #14 on those. They were inexpensive and come 2 or 4 to a bag at Home Depot. I've had it on a little over a week and I'm perfectly happy with this product! I thought about including a photo but the one's out there now are a good representation of the fit. Read more
I am giving it 2 stars because as the product itself is nice I feel that there's a few issues. 1 there is no rubber seal or some sort of seal around the diameter of it. The screws provided did not work. I have to go to my local hardware store to figure it out. On my truck the original 2 screws or rivits were difficult to get off. They just don't screw off. Didn't want to remove entire wheel well cover so I used a Dremel. Be aware of these when u purchase. A quick job just became a few hours and now running around to figure out a seal and screws or bolts. Ugh! Read more
