I bought a brand new car that had a hood decal that was faded. I use this on the decal and it brought it back to life and it lasted for a long time and now I just touch it up whenever I go to get it washed and it looks brand new. I plan to use this on all of the black plastic on the outside of the car as well. It is a great deal and a good product. Read more

I purchased this to revitalize the rubber pieces on my carry on suitcase. It worked really well and bought them 100% back to life. They were starting to get that dry-rot look. The product worked perfectly and completely fixed the issue. I’m smell sensitive and I didn’t notice any over powering or unpleasant smell. It was very easy to work with and clean after it was done being applied. It’s also not sticky which I was worried about. The product didn’t have a color it just perfectly restored the color of the plastic/rubber. The bottle itself is well made and I’m not worried about it leaking. I’m very glad I purchased the restorer. I highly this product for anyone looking to extend the life and looks for their products that make rubber or plastic on them. The pictures are from after a week of travel. None of the rubber looks faded anymore, Car Guys Plastic Restorer was amazing on my Louis Vuitton suitcase. Read more

This is the best dressing-style plastic restorer I have used. By "dressing-style", I mean that it's easy to use and non-permanent (i.e. it's not a coating). I had been using Meguiar's Ultimate Black for a long time on a Jeep Wrangler with very faded fenders. It works well and leaves a very natural or "OEM" appearance. However, the Meguiar's only seems to leave the plastic looking perfect for about a week. I park outside, and hot sun and rain seem to wash it away quickly. The Car Guys plastic restorer leaves a very similar OEM finish, but seems to last about twice as long (2 weeks looking perfect, and then slowly fading). I found it from the Repair Geek YouTube channel, who had similar results - it was the longest-lasting dressing. There are longer lasting alternatives, most notable Cerakote restorer wipes, but I'm not crazy about how shiny it leaves the plastic. I have also seen several reviews saying that it's tricky to install without high spots or streaks. Since it's a coating, if you mess it up, you're stuck with the bad results for potentially months. Note: Application matters! I've found that with both Car Guys and Meguiar's, you have to apply it generously and let it soak in. For really trashed plastic (like my Jeep), it takes 2 - 3 applications the first time you apply it. Also, it is helpful to apply indoors. If you apply it and the trim gets wet before it cures (such as from overnight dew), it will not bond. I apply a lot, let it soak in for at least 30 minutes (hours if possible), repeat as needed, and then wipe it off several times with microfiber towels. If it looks uneven, weird, or it still feels wet, keep wiping. Eventually it will level out and look great. I'll try to update with a photo later if I can. Read more

This stuff is incredible! I've tried similar products from Turtle wax, Meguiar's, Mothers, Etc, and they all fade after a few days. I applied this to my wife's RAV4 trim and it still looks amazing a month later! Easy to apply and wipe off. Not super thick, sticky, or greasy. Highly recommend for anyone with faded car plastic! My vehichle is a seven year old Range Rover where the black borders around the windows had faded badly from the Florida sun. This product did not work first time I tried it on sunny day hot surface. Little shine and difficult streaks to remove. I decided to try again later in the day. First, do not use in the sun or on hot surface.....bottle instructions do not mention this. I tried again a few days later just before sundown and left on overnight. Much easier to remove but still left streaks. You must use a car polish to fully remove product streaks. And then I used a quick shine type product to fully remove streaks and get the like new shine back. Like I said, product works great but you need to use these additional steps to get the back to new type shine. It is not a wipe on wipe off type product, at least for what I used it for. I'll update later to confirm how long it lasts but surfaces do look like new again. Read more

The bottle is kind of small, but a little goes a long way. Worked great on the heavily weathered bumper cover of my CR-V; it took a few applications to get it to last, but now I can wash the vehicle and the bumper stays a nice deep black. Great stuff!!!! Read more
