My kids just got their temps and are both working towards getting their license. While they don’t have a car yet, they’re saving up and will have one soon. I put together a “car kit” for each of them in a tote that can stay in their trunk, which included this kit. It has the basics to make sure they aren’t stranded due to a dead battery and provides a bit of safety that puts my mind at ease. Hopefully they’ll never need it, but have it in case they do or if someone else needs help. While it may not be the “fun” part of having a car, I would have loved something like this when I started driving, even if I didn’t realize it at the time. I love that it’s a compact design, has its own case, seemingly good quality, functional for multiple uses and was definitely worth the money. Read more

Let’s talk about the Car Roadside Emergency Kit I bought for my new teen driver. I’ll be honest – I spent more time shopping for this than I did for my kid’s first car. Why? Because I wanted her to be prepared for whatever the road throws her way. And boy, did this kit deliver. If there’s an emergency, she's now ready to handle it like a pro—or at least like someone who doesn’t panic and call me at 3 a.m. First off, this kit has jumper cables (because dead battery? Not today!), rainwear (perfect for when she gets caught in a storm and needs to look stylish and stay dry while fixing a flat), and even headlamps (for when it’s 2 a.m. and she's trying to change a tire, but she refuses to admit that she might need more light to see). But wait, it gets better. There's a Dual-Use Safety Hammer that can help break windows in case of an emergency (because I have no idea what kind of situation she’ll get into, but I’d like to think she’ll be prepared for a dramatic car disaster movie scenario). And the tow ropes are there, because, well, she's going to be my superhero daughter and pull someone else out of the ditch? And let’s not forget the non-slip gloves—because nothing says “I’m an adult now” like fixing a flat tire without getting your hands dirty. The band-aids and PVC tape are a nice touch too, just in case her "sudden surge of confidence" leads to some minor injuries. What I love most about this kit, though, is how compact it is. It’s perfect for storing in her trunk. It’s small enough that it won’t take up half the space, but it packs all the essentials, making it feel like a well-organized superhero utility belt... only, you know, for a car. Overall, I’m thrilled with this purchase. Not only do I feel like I’ve given her the gift of safety, but I also feel like I’ve sent her out into the world with a backup plan for when things go wrong. Because, let’s face it, when it comes to teenagers and cars, it’s not if something will happen – it’s when. This kit is the equivalent of a life preserver in car form, and I highly recommend it for any parent who wants to sleep a little easier at night. Although, let's be real, she's calling home and I'll be using this kit more likely than not. 10/10 would buy again—hopefully, I won’t need to use it anytime soon! 🚗💨🔧 Read more
