Works great. We had the stars version for several years before the on/off switch started glitching after a couple years. Bought the unicorn one knowing what to expect and how to operate. Despite what the photos show, the leds are only red, green, blue, and white. There is no pink. You will not have pink unicorns on your wall. The unicorn and dino versions come with the original stars installed and the unicorn or dino dome sitting on top of it. There are two separate lenses provided but they're sandwiched on eachother so it's hard to tell. I saw some reviews complaining that the dino was just some random lines. This is because you actually need to disassemble the stars lens from the white collar and install the unicorn or dino lens. It won't work with both at the same time. The motor on this one is quiet. But that last one we had started having increased motor noise around a year in. I'll be surprised if this one doesn't do the same. Read more

My son is roughly 2 years old & is fascinated with stars, so I bought this relatively inexpensive projector not thinking it would be a huge deal to him, but when we set it up in his nursery on the 1st night after it arrived, he totally FREAKED with joy over seeing the stars & moon rotate along the walls & ceilings of his room! :) It's perfect for bedtime because it can function as a night light, you can choose whether it rotates or not, you have a sleep timer to determine for how long it stays running & there's a good selection of colors/combinations you can go through, so it's like a new show for him every night of the week. It's also very good in terms of the power supply- if you don't have a plug nearby, it'll run on 4 regular AA(or AAA, sorry, can't remember now but it says on the listing)batteries perfectly for quite a good duration before they need changing, but you can also use the supplied charger to power it at a plug & it appears that it would also work with recharge-ready batteries as well. Overall for the roughly $25 spent, we get a light show each night for our son, always changing every night, but which has become an essential part of his going to bed routine now. I should probably say it's not accurate as in it won't display constellations, but as a nighttime light for a younger child, my son's mind was blown & now we "put on the stars" each night as his only night light he sleeps with. Great for young kids & even has a cover which dampens the projections a bit, but can protect little fingers from the spinning globe & the spinning globe from little fingers too- was definitely money well spent for us as parents! I bought this for my 5 year old, who has been having trouble sleeping because of nightmares. He loves this projector and, with it on, he has been able to go back to sleep quickly after waking up--for the first time in months. There are a variety of color selections for the stars--we use the red to help with sleep. The motor for rotation is nearly silent. His room is about 13X8, and the stars fill it, although they do become more fuzzy the farther away from the projector they are. The projector is light and easy to use. My only concern, having it in a room with two small children, is that the star dome, which is thin plastic, will be easily breakable. Overall, however, I wish only that I had bought it months ago! Edit: In the past month, my children have managed to push in the plastic dome of the projector twice. Both times, I was able to press out the dent easily. The dome did not crack; once the (very large) dent left a slight ridge marking where it had been. The star display and working mechanism were unchanged. So far, the dome has proved stronger than I expected. Read more

Got this for one of my granddaughters last Christmas she loves it! It’s not too bright to leave on all night for a nightlight. It’s very easy to assemble granddaughter’s love to watch it’s been around at night and as they go to sleep. Read more

I bought this for my daughter’s room and I was initially extremely impressed! I have had the projector one month. Over the course of the month, the white light no longer works and the red light has faded. The light barely projects to the ceiling. I wanted to love this product! EDIT: the projector works much better if you use the plug feature versus the battery power option! My daughter LOVES this projector! Read more

In theory was great but my toddler kept taking off the cover and I didn’t love the fact he’d stare directly at the bright lights when the cover was off, wish there was a better way to prevent that from happening, unfortunately returned Read more

I got the MOKOQI Star Projector Night Light for my best friend’s little guy, who is absolutely obsessed with the moon and stars and it has been a huge hit! The rotating starry sky projection keeps him mesmerized, and it’s the perfect way to wind down before bed. The timer function is a great feature, so it doesn’t stay on all night, and the soft glow helps create a peaceful sleep environment. It keeps him entertained while also helping him drift off to sleep. Such a perfect gift for any little space lover! Read more
