The title of the item is for a heavyweight thermal layer. There are neither heavyweight nor thermals. They are see through and the package says they are midweight which is not what I ordered. The thermals I currently have from Walmart are thicker and I can garantee they are warmer than these. I don’t even have to wear them to figure that out. I work outside year round in the mid-south. Mostly our weather is summer time,but when it is cold,whew,it is cold. Like ice rain type weather. Good thing it dont last but a couple months. Those couple months I have learned to layer and to invest in thermal wear. I will say that 40 degrees, these Carharrt and a pair of very thin made uniform britches issued us are great. My real challenge will be Febuary when Memphis,TN winters catches up with the rest of the USA winters. Like I said their short but bone chilling, or I have just been in the south long enough that I have forgotten the Jack Frost of the Mid West. Base layer is Not heavy weight material, more like light/middle weight material. Not as warm as other sets I’ve ordered from Carhartt.. I have the base layer light gray and the rose color heavy weight material outfits and those are warm and amazing for Minnesota fall/winter/spring weather . Read more

This offerings description says Heavyweight but the actual item is the midweight. The model number listed is correct but not the title. I still kept it because it will do. I wouldnt buy these again or recommend them. The elastic sown within folded waistband fabric rolls. The fabric stays put, but the elastic rolls and it's a nuisance to make it straight. Read more
