Extremely reliable, and simple to use!
I'd love to give this device six stars! It has helped me jump off more than a dozen people's vehicles who needed my help, when they had a dead battery. It's very simple to use. Use any DeWalt compatible 20 volt battery, but the recommendation is to use a minimum of a four amp hour battery. Just click the battery on, wait for the light on top of the unit to turn green, and then attach the positive and negative terminals to the Dead battery. You'll see the light turn red and begin blinking. When the light stops blinking and turns green, attempt to crank the vehicle. It may take more than once, but I've yet to have it take more than three times. Once the vehicle is cranked, simply unhook the terminals and disconnect the battery from the device. I keep one of these in the back of my van at all times because they're just so handy to have. Since I already have the DeWalt battery system, I always have multiple batteries in my vehicle available for assisting others and even myself if I were to have a dead battery. I did verify with a voltmeter that this unit only puts out a maximum of 13.8 volts, which is fantastic because most modern vehicles are extremely sensitive to being over voltage damaged. The voltage regulator in this unit works very well and helps prevent sense of electronic damage. I have bought several of these and I have put one in all of my family's vehicles along with at least one battery. This is a great stocking stuffer, Father's Day gift, or a gift for a teenager's trip to college. Read more
