We have a designer wool carpet that I've had for nearly 20 years. Over the years and cleaning after cleaning, it was falling apart underneath with the protective edging on the underside. After we gave the carpet a good emersion scrubbing we got the original color back but the backing strip of liner just fell off. I bought this tape and it did a great job restoring our carpet liner. It has a durable mesh built into the double sided tape and makes it nearly indestructible! This stuff really sticks! It's thick and the hold is amazing! We may get another decade out of this carpet! Purpose: Keep dog pee pads stuck to carpet for frequent and temporary changes Pros: - Holds better than anything else - Very easy to remove with basically no residue. Tape has high cohesion with itself so it comes off in one piece - My carpet is completely unaffected - Deters dogs from easily moving the pee pads Cons: - Cutting the tape can be a pain because of its stickiness and high cohesion. 10/5 stars. I’ve had a vinyl floor transition strip that broke from the track. I’ve tried a few different adhesives at this point and they all failed, but this stuff took care of it in about 5 minutes, and it was very easy to trim the excess. I lined it up, pressed down with my hands, to tack it, and then stood on it to get full contact. I’ve kicked the strip and my toddler has pulled at it, but it still holding well. It was a little wide for me, but like I said, it was easy to trim with a razor blade. Read more
