Works magically especially if you like well-made and petite things. When shopping I thought it was a bit expensive for a piece of plastic, but I loved it at first glance on arrival (and still do!) Very practical for smaller tasks in the bedroom and, supposedly, should work as well for a bathroom or even kitchen. Great build quality - no sharp corners, nor ugly edges; color and size are just right for me. Fitted well with 0.5 gallon bags. I only dusted it in months of usage, but with smooth surface like that cleaning would be a breeze. Mind that the lid isn't secured by any mechanism, so if you need to move the bin, you'd have to hold it under the rim - about 1" below the top. I actually appreciate the simplicity of the design - no unnecessary electronics, etc. - as it does not introduce any points of failure of modern complex mechanisms, nor requires battery replacement. I have allergies. Not those little, oh my nose is a little stuffy allergies. Not those two sneezes allergies. I have cartoon allergies. I sneeze eight or nine times in a row. People start looking at me and wondering if it is some sort of prank show. With the cartoon sneezing comes cartoon nose running. Sniff, sniff, sniff. What does this have to do with a trash can? As you can imagine, I use Kleenex, a lot of Kleenex. I can do gross things like stuff them in the cupholder or that spot on the door you use as a handle, or just leave them all over the floor, or I can get a trash can. I don't like those little pouches, especially the ones that go on the back of the seats and basically sit in the face of any passengers in the back. So, I bought this thing, put some velcro tape on the bottom of this and on the floor of my car, and boom, non-gross trash can. The lid doesn't attach, which is fine, just remember that before you flip it upside down over the dumpster to empty it. This trash can is an actual square, not a square-looking rectangle, so you can easily put the lid back on in any direction you like, which means you can face the flip up lid toward you, sideways, or even backwards, if you have some reason to do that. It's hard plastic so you can spray it out if it gets too goopy or anything. I wouldn't go so far as to put it in the dishwasher, but it will definitely hold up to a hose, some hot water, and some dish soap. Read more

The mini trash can is the perfect size for the counter. It sits next to my coffee machine for collecting pods. I particularly enjoy just lifting the lid to insert the pods. Only 4 stars because It would have been nice to have some type of ring to hold the bags in place neatly. The lid just slips on top of the container so it is not secured. It's small, and is great for kitchens that have little counter space. There is sufficient capacity if you don't cook a lot. It holds lots of potato peels, and other vegetable peelings . It would take one or 2 days to fill it up. Read more
