I wanted to travel lighter so I tried this. I am a typical over packer, so it did help me control that. It worked well for me and I went to 3 countries (23 day trip) and had enough clothes to wear (had some clothing cleaned twice by hotel). I got better at packing it too. You need to zip it up so the bottom is defined then pack it. I did squeeze some tennis shoes in after packing in that side bag, but by the end, I didn't use it for shoes, maybe cords and caps. My friend had one too, looked like a different brand, her zipper broke, this one just looked more sturdy. Top heavy while on your other carry-on. I checked it in so I didn't have to lug it around, which kind of defeated the whole purpose, could have just used a smaller regular rolling luggage since it ended up in check in anyway. Read more
