I like this product because I am on a diet and I was getting stuck between 2 holes in my "classic" belt as I am losing weight. One hole was too tight and one was too loose until I get lose enough weight to fit into the next hole perfectly. And, it is embarrassing to adjust your belt hole in public and it looks like you are going to take off your pants (LOL!) This is good because I can tighten it discretely when I get up to walk around, but can loosen it while I am sitting down. It does make a clicking sound during adjustment, but nobody seems to notice. Also, the design is good... Right now I am at about the limit for this belt (it's too big for me). However, all I need to do is to remove the buckle and cut off a few more inches off the end of the belt to shorten it. They have marks on the back of the belt about where to cut it. I used garden pruning shears to cut it... I don't think scissors are strong enough but I am not sure. So, you may need access to some tools to cut down the belt length. My biggest complain is that the corners of the belt can be painful if they dig into your body. This is because the buckle is very thick and has pointy corners. I have never had an issue with a belt digging into my skin from a normal belt with holes. Read more

I own two kore essential belts, and love them. This belt is not them- it is also significantly less expensive. I can carry with it and it looks good on the waist. It will support a firearm, not as stiff as kore but will function well! Assembled easily, adjusts easily, same mechanical as a kore. Perfect! Read more

I agree with other reviewers that say this is not real leather. PU leather seems more likely. That said the stitching and overall durability appears good for the price point ($10). The ratchet mechanism works as expected. I bought the longest length offered because it was cheapest, but was still able to cut to a 32” waistline. The belt cut easily, but not too easy. My biggest complaint is the regarding the buckle. The outward finish is fine, however the inside part, where you insert the belt and clamp down after cutting, had really bad metal flaking/corrosion. What came off the belt is best described as carbon or ash. I did my best to crape and clear out the flakes before securing and clamping the belt. It will definitely stain if it continues and makes contact with clothing. Only time will tell if it does. Overall, value for price, 3 out of 5 stars. I would recommend not overpaying for what you actually get here. Read more
