Just a few days into using the machine. It makes a good espresso so easy and accessible that I find myself making another cup, way too often. A short infusion pump followed by ~ 12-15 second pull for each shot of espresso on the highest strength (3/3) and volume settings (3/3). The Americano might pull longer as it comes out on the slightly bitter side relative to the espresso which is well balanced. However, it is too easy to just make a double shot and add hot water if the Americano setting does not suit you. I still enjoy the Americanos from this machine but find the espresso much more to my liking. The espresso body will not match a hand grinding/ hand press but that is way too much of a ritual/ time endeavor when this thing can do nearly the same in a half waken press of a button. Speaking of buttons, this machine has real tactile buttons… none of that sense-touch nonsense. The number of buttons seems perfect. Not too many to have ones not being used but not too few that you have to learn a sequence or go to the owner manual. If you like literature on this machine it is very limited. The owners manual is simple and straightforward but some might find it too vague. To me, the machine is so simple that you don’t need to study up to use it or keep it in working order. This machine is for the people wanting an affordable and easily made espresso at a push of a button…. And to a lesser degree, for people who are willing to compromise only slightly on the body/texture/richness to achieve that ease of use. The body and richness is all there but maybe not at the level an artisan maker might offer. There is plenty of crema to indicate the quality. I never understood why people drink decaf but might need to have some on hand as this machine makes it so easy and pleasurable to enjoy a rich coffee. Easily rate this a 10/10 and likely the best purchase of the year. Update/ correction: the americano is really good for medium or light roasted beans. The addition time and volume helps balance a more acidic bean. Espresso is still preferred with dark roasted beans that might be on the bitter end with the americano setting. I now recognize that there is a use case for both the espresso and americano settings based on darkness of roast. Read more

After Nespresso failed me and went through 2 machines in a year I was ready for a change. I love my machine! Its so simple to use and the instructions to get it up and running are easy to understand. It is a compact machine and doesn't require a lot of space. It is a little loud but I don't mind it since it's doing everything for me. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Update: Casabrews reached out and offering to help. I already returned the machine but they are proactive and offered a solution to make it right and try a new machine. Other coffee making companies do not have support, or even provide a manual. It’s not often that you can find old school customer service. I will update again. Day 1: Great packaging. And the manual included is excellent. Water storage container handle is broken. It’s not secured in the side so the handle is inoperable. But you can still lift that water container by grasping it with 2 hands. The handle is really flimsy anyway so I’d advise against using it. I checked power. It turned on. Then I followed directions for filling the water tank and beans. I familiarized myself with the manual. I powered it on again and clean was flashing and fill water indicator was on. Nothing worked because the machine says fill water. It ran dry clean cycle; and dry espresso. No water pulled through the machine. I powered it off, then back on. This time all the lights turned blue and no buttons worked. I unplugged and replugged; reset the FULL water container several times. It made noises and water started spraying out of the frother. I turned it off and back on and clean cycle ran. All the lights turned on again and nothing worked. The fourth reset, it cleaned dry again. And said it has no water (tank is full) Luckily this machine (unlike many others) has tech support email. If they don’t respond by tomorrow it will be returned. My quest continues for an operable automatic machine. Tichibo had the best, but they no loner sell in the US. Read more

It's convenient, yet there are drawbacks. It's loud, and the bean grinder is touchy; even when it's full of beans, they don't get to the grinder, making the espresso weak. Cleaning is easy, with minimal ability to adjust for strength and volume. It's a hit or miss quality. I like the Casabrew brand, but not this particular product. I kept my Casabrew manual machine, probably will switch back to it. Coffee temperature is good. Read more

Easy to set up and straightforward in its use. Accidentally fell while transferring this from box to counter and managed not to drop it! Had our first latte shortly thereafter, and it was perfect. Very pleased with the espressos this machine makes, and find it does exactly what we expected. Read more

This machine is INCREDIBLE!! I was a bit self-conscious of the expenditure at Christmas time , but I looooove this Casabrew! Our friends have enjoyed coffee drinks this season! It’s easy to maintain , sleek in design ! My friend had a $1100 dura and he is envious of all the Casabrew features. If you love espresso I would definitely recommend this gem!! Read more

Great for the price. Makes excellent espresso and the steamer works well too. Only complaint is the grinder doesn't funnel the beans into the grinder well so the machine keeps thinking its out of beans. I have to maually push the beans towards down the grinder. I had tried the Baristina and didn't like all the work. This one is just a push of a button. Read more
