My youngest son has watched me build/upgrade PCs for many years. He still picks at me about the amber/green screens! We left PCs behind as laptops became more powerful over the years. He has seen how relatively fast/easy it is to change components like SSDs and RAM. He wanted to replace his WiFi card, but his tools were not up to the task. He asked me what do I use to repair my laptops, I told him that an electric screwdriver is the fastest way. He saw one of my sets and wanted one of his own to replace said card. I love knowing I have the ability to handle any unexpectedly annoying need for a random tool or screwdriver I know I saw one time one day last year somewhere in the garage, probably, but it might have been in the shed... trigger downward spiral... but instead of having to go on a spider-happy treasure hunt to MAYBE find it, I smile and sigh with joy that I have the right tool (or something close enough to make it work) in a sleek white long box in my underwear drawer. However, I am encountering more and more situations where I need some tiny tool that I don’t have and never needed before. So that is why I picked this kit up. When something stops working, I like to take it apart and see what makes it tick even if I have no hope of repairing it. Before now, there were some things I couldn’t even make the attempt. This kit has lots of various odd little bits and a good electric screw driver. The magnetic mat would be my only complaint. It is not very magnetic and not much will stick to it. One thing I wish they had included in the kit is some tweezers with rubber coated tips. That would be excellent for picking those tiny screws back up to reinstall them. Read more
