Good Value, Handy Tool, and Dishwasher Safe
Prior to chainmail I was scrubbing the stuck on bits with plastic scrubbing pads. Which just gunks up the pads and end up throwing them out. The chainmail handles the dishwasher great and no rust or corrosion in six months. Nice tool, easy care, and unbeatable price. Read more

Works Well On Cast Iron and Carbon Steel
Bought this because I was getting tired of rubbing salt on the pans then throwing it away. The "chain mail" on this pad seems durable and it works better than coarse salt. It would work a little better if the metal was not completely round, maybe an edge to it. I have used the pad on cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. It works best on cast iron, as advertised, it is great for smoothing the bottom of the skillet and burnishing the finish on older pans and skillets. The surface of my carbon steel pans do not need as much work but it is still very effective. For stainless I can use a dry scouring pad and get the same results. Overall this is good value, I wish it was just a little thicker but I'd buy it again and highly recommend this product. Read more

I bought this because I was using a scrubber or little pieces would flake off and then I noticed sometimes they would get left in the cast-iron skillet and I was worried about it getting into food and someone ingesting it.
