I purchased this candle light to use for my candles and my stove sometimes my pilot light goes out and ordinary lighter can easily burn you hand so it can be very dangerous. I like the fact it has a swivel neck making it easy for odd positions to utilize them like burning charcoal when bbq’ing. The charging port makes it easy to charge and you do not have to worry about running out of fuel and having to replace constantly. If you are a smoker this is not for you because it does not light cigarettes the quality is good and the durability so far has been good. The Castelar Electric Candle Lighter is an amazing device at an equally amazing price. I have heard of these, but I always thought it was a gimmick item, but I have been proven wrong. The lighter has a long flexible neck allowing you to reach deep inside a candle holder and it uses an electric arc to light the wick. The arc is many times hotter than the flame from a match or lighter, so it almost instantly lights the candle. Now I no longer need to hold the lighter against a stubborn wick for several seconds hoping it will light. Not only does it light the wick almost instantly, but the arc also lighter works every time, the first time. I have a drawer full of expensive lighters that are full of butane, but they rarely work. When you press the power button it provides a steady arc, unlike a grill igniter that every press of the button produces only one arc. I can’t believe how quiet it is, you have to listen closely to hear anything. It’s great that it sounds nothing like the loud snapping noise of an electrical arc. If you have ever heard a stun gun being fired, you will know how harsh an arc normally sounds. It seems weird being this excited about a $5 item, but this arc lighter is really that great.
