Very nice, subtle fragrance. The fragrance is not overpowering. Others I have tried would really set off my sinuses. This is very refreshing and the soap lathers up great and doesn't leave the tub/shower floor so slick that I fear I will slip and fall. I tried only 1 bar and have now ordered a pack of 6, which is the more cost effective way to go. I wish I could find a aftershave in this scent. Read more

Bought these because I wanted to make some cleaning solutions with Castile but didn’t want the typical scents and wasn’t sure which scent I’d like. Tobacco vanilla- smells good but had more f a cinnamon bite to it that I wasn’t expecting. But spicier note and I was expecting more warm and woodsy. I don’t dislike it but I do prefer it mixed with another scent to round it out. Juniper & gin- this one was surprisingly my favorite, I didn’t think I’d care for it but I love the smell, it’s clean, fresh with a citrus ginger bite. It smells so good. Bay Rum- this one smelled kinda of leathery kinda of spicy. Reminds me a bit of my grandpa but in a good way. Comforting. I ended up taking about 3/4 a bar and shredded it with a zester type grater. Added about 4 cups of water and melted it down in a pot on my stove, once it was melted I diluted it further with enough water to fill one of those bug and weed killer chemical sprayers. This soap is wonderful! It has a very pleasant scent, and has a lovely curved shaped that is thick and fits nicely in the hand. It lathers nicely generating enough foaminess, and makes skin feel truly clean without making skin feel dry. Finally, it lasts a long time and does not get mushy in the soap dish. I was looking for an alternative to Dr. Bronner’s pure Castile bar soap that would be effective in the cold, dry New England winter. I initially purchased a single bar of the Bay Rum scent to try out. I was pleasantly surprised with the scent and my skin didn’t feel dry or irritated. I’ve since ordered the sampler 3-pack and each scent is fantastic. It is definitely mild, which I enjoy. It’s an all natural scent so it’s only going to be so strong without chemical additives. It has enhanced my shower experience and my skin feels good. The bar itself is thick and foams easily. The quality of the bar is triple milled so it will last a long time. I recommend storing it outside of the shower so it can properly dry in between uses and last even longer. This soap is a great value for money and easily rivals Dr. Bronner’s or Dr. Squatch.
