I tried different varieties of matcha, good, bad, cheap, expensive, culinary, ceremonial, but this matcha is really good for the price! I mean its not ceremonial but i am also not paying for a arm and a leg!! Haha. Its price, and coming from japan it’s actually really good especially for baking. I drink it with tea and its still good but i mean i would has already finished it and payed $100+ if i had gotten ceremonial. i would be out of it now if i hadent found this one. Love it! Read more

Quality is good for intended purpose. Baking, ice cream making etc. Culinary Grade means it is not for drinking. Do not expect it to produce same flavor in drinks as high grade matcha powder. I think all negative commentaries are from people unable to understand "you get what you pay for". Buy ceremonial grade to make your tee. Read more

Mellow flavor with earthy undertones, I love this matcha brand for its delicious but distinct matcha flavor. whisked straight up hot, or brewed hot and then poured over ice - this is my go to brand and morning drink. Read more

This is my second purchase. I drink or sip this tea for health purposes. The contents are a beautiful bright green. The aroma is slightly pungent. It is always packaged well; double bagged. The price is right. I don't think you will be disappointed with your purchase. Read more

This is fresh matcha! I wouldn't use this for tea, but it's good for shakes, smoothies, and probably baking (planning to make some waffles with it). I used it with my protein shake mix every other day and I absolutely love it! It has a nice bright color, though I can tell by the smell it's a little weak. I have had stronger culinary matcha, though it seems older and less fresh than this one. Like I said earlier, I wouldn't use it for tea, but it's perfect for baking and shaking :) Read more

I had to give up coffee several years and needed a morning drink with a little caffeine. I tried green tea in tea bags and it just didn’t taste good to me. I lived in Japan for several years and enjoyed green tea with my Japanese friends, though they brewed a very mild pot of tea compared how I make it today! Through trial and error, I learned to make a great morning cup or two of tea to start my day. Read more

I’ve been buying this Matcha for three years to use in iced matcha lattes with milk and honey every morning. At some point they quietly removed the “made in Japan” label and switched to cheaper Chinese manufacturing. This is when the quality took a hit and went down. I keep buying this matcha because of the price, but there are much better matchas out there. After trying out a few others, I found one I like better. It’s 3X the cost of this one, but it’s worth it. If I were making baked goods, this matcha is probably fine, but for daily use, the upgrade has made a huge difference. Read more

This is one of the worst tasting matcha powders I’ve ever had in my life. I’m half Japanese and grew up in a Japanese household and I’m telling you, do yourself a favor and support your local Asian grocery store if you have one. I should’ve done that the first time. That way you know that what you’re seeing is what you’re getting. I’m not even sure I believe that this is a product of Japan... I’m confused as to how some people on here are saying this is the best matcha they’ve ever had, but I guess each to their own. Read more
