I really like the Epronic CD Slot Mount for my portable CarPlay screen; it’s a clever way to add modern tech without sticking things to the windshield. The build quality feels good, but there are two main things you should know before buying. The Fitment Issue: Depending on your car, the placement can be tricky. In my case, the mount puts the screen directly in front of my volume and AUX buttons. Since I have to press the AUX button every time I want to use the screen, it’s a bit of a hassle to reach behind it constantly. The Adjustment Knob: The mount uses a ball-and-socket joint to let you angle the screen. While it works well initially, I’ve noticed that if you adjust the angle frequently, the locking nut tends to loosen up. You’ll find yourself needing to re-tighten the screw every few adjustments to keep the screen from sagging. Pros: Very stable once tightened down. Great alternative to suction cups or adhesive mounts. Fits the CD slot securely without wobbling. Cons: May block essential dash buttons (Volume/AUX) depending on your vehicle. Tension bolt requires frequent re-tightening if you move the screen often.
