The pull up bar is easy to assemble and even easier to install on the door frame. I like that I can remove it from the frame when I'm done with my pull ups. We've tested it with people of various weights in my house, ranging from 112lbs to 200lbs and it has been stable with what seems like no stress on the door frame at all. Love this product! Read more
This was a perfect gift for the workout king in my house. It attaches very easily to our door frame and can easily be taken down when we have company. Read more
It seems sturdy and well-made and does the job. Definitely strong and holds plenty of weight. Easy to get on and off. It would be nice if there were step-by-step instructions instead of leaving the customer to interpret a picture. In particular, I wasn't sure how the long bar should be oriented. Also, the use of the "safety wedge" should be mentioned in the product description, as I didn't realize I'd have to jimmy that behind my door frame, which made me a bit uncomfortable (am I prying it off??). Likes: pretty easy to assemble. Appears to be no damage to door frame, holds my weight and is stable. Everything you need to set it up is provided. Dislikes: The images for the instructions was smaller print. It will be difficult for some to read. Otherwise this was a great buy so far. Read more
At first I was nervous if it would be strong enough to support my weight but it has worked really well. I started not able to do a single pullup, and now I am able to manage to do 6 and working towards my first 10. I do a few each time I enter my sitting room. It is very satisfying seeing some progress, however small. It is great value for money. It ought to be one of your top 2 items in a home gym, the other being a pair of dumb bells. Read more

My review comes from the perspective of a retired manufacturing engineer. Pros: Easy to assemble, easy to use. Cons: The screws used to assemble the tubes to each other are not long enough- the nuts barely thread onto the screws and comes no where near the nylon ring inside of the nut. This would result in the assembly of this product becoming loose- as has been stated by several users of this particular product and others like it. Therefore, I would recommend getting a small tube of Lock-tite thread locking compound and applying it to the tips of the screws prior to assembly (or, getting longer screws). This will prevent the nuts/screws from loosening up. Secondly, it's fit above the door jamb relies largely on the thickness of your walls. If your walls are only 3-4" wide (surface-to-surface), this product may fit properly above your door frame. Otherwise, the top bar will NOT be flush with your wall above the door frame! On my 5" wide walls, only the bottom corner of the top bar rests against the wall. You want that top bar (with the rubber strip) to rest flush (flat) on the wall. To achieve this type of fit, the cross bar (the one with the padded grips that you do pull-ups with) would need to be positioned about 2" towards the hand grips (which would render the current position of the hand grips un-useable). Overall, the idea works, but the bottom end of the curved pieces could stand to be about 2" longer, with 2 sets of holes that would allow the user to custom fit this product to the thickness of their walls! I liked how easy it was to assemble, with all the tools being organized, and provided for a customer like me who does not have access to a toolbox kit yet. Once assembled, it was sturdy for my liking, and fairly lightweight for transportable use. Excited to put this to great use Read more
