I love that I can dress them down with jeans and a sweatshirt or dress them up with a skirt or shorts. They look and feel exotic and expensive, but the price was such a great deal for the quality you receive. The stitching and design details are gorgeous, and they’re made very well and super durable, too. I usually struggle to find boots that fit over my calves, but these went on with ease. I did order one full size up, and it was perfect and left plenty of room for either thick socks or thin pantyhose. These boots are fun and I really can't wait to wear them this fall. However; as someone who needs a wider calf/thigh, these are close to not being wide at all. (I used to need a much wider calf, and these would not have worked). For me now, at the top of the thigh they are barely wide enough around to not constrict my leg. If these weren't marketed as "wide", I wouldn't be complaining because it's always a struggle finding cute boots with the right sized width. I plan to freeze some bags to see if I can stretch out the top a bit. They fit my foot, thankfully fit my calf (I've lost weight so they're not as wide as they used to be), but for women that truly need wide calf boots, I am doubting that this will work for them. I think these would be much better marketed as "slightly wider", or as an in between normal width and wide. My rating is based on the wide width claim. I would do 3.5 if possible). My wife wanted these boots. She isn't particularly country, but she likes various styles, so I guess these are for when she's in a country state of mind. She's the shoe expert, and according to her, they are well made, and very comfortable. She wears a size 9 with wide feet, and ordered the 9.5 and they fit perfectly. The material had no imperfections, and the stitching is impressive. I particularly liked the stich gradient where it changes color from the outer stich to the inner stitch. The zippers made it easier to put them on and take them off, but she could get them on and off even without using the zipper. They have comfortable padding on the insole and inside the boot has a foam-type lining that means the outside material won't be rubbing against your calves all day. The bottom of the boot has a pattern of lines on the sole and a crisscross pattern on the heel to help with grip so you don't go sliding off the dance floor into the band. They do come folded over in the packaging with foam inserts, but the material is so soft and supple that the folds begin to fall out as soon as you begin wearing them (see image). My wife is 5'3" and in the lower 100s weight (yeah, I'm not posting that exact number because I like living) if you need to judge how well the boots fit in the image (her knees are a little below where the "V" in the front of the boots start. These thigh-high boots' flexible and soft material makes them so comfortable to wear! You won't have to worry about sweaty, sticky legs. I thought since they are wide calf, they might look too roomy on me, but they are not! If you are looking for truly wide calf boots, these might not be the right choice. Everyone's body is different though, so it may be worth giving them a try, especially if you like the delicate, cowboy-inspired stitching. These are going to be perfect for the fall time! Read more
