Took this with me to Italy. I read before I went that others had trouble with their hair dryers not working. I had no trouble at all with this voltage converter. I loved the fact that I could charge my IPhone, IPad, portable power bank and AirPods all at one time. The charging was fast. I plugged it in at night before I went to bed, when I woke up in the morning everything was ready to go. I would definitely recommend buying this product to anyone traveling overseas. With all of the different converters it is definitely a great bargain. Read more

I got this converter for a multi-country trip: Pros - Supports multiple countries - Great for curling irons, USB/C charging, clocks, etc. - Quiet - Separate power cord allows converter to sit on counter or table for easy access Cons - Receptacle for hair-dryer worked but not at full power - Heavy and bulky. Luckily, the hotels and AirBnBs I stayed at either provided a hairdryer or had multi-country outlets. Although my hairdryer worked using this converter the power was significantly less than normal. I was still able to dry my hair but it took a lot longer, so not a show-stopper. I just needed to factor that into my schedule. Overall, however, I will keep this unit because I’ve got a lot more travel to do, and it worked for about 95% of the things I needed. Read more

In the past I had five different foreign country adapters that were rather large and took up a lot of space in my luggage. Then I still had to have a voltage converter so I could use it with my devices that were not 110-220 volt and 50-60 hertz compatible. With this setup you simply slide one of the six small appropriate country adapters onto the voltage converter and plug it into the wall. The converter accommodates two devices with American plugs up to 200 watts and one high wattage (up to 2000 watts) American plug for a hair dryer or hot comb but will not accommodate high voltage devices containing electronic chips, automatic reset, automatic shut-off or electronic temperature control. It also has three USB-A outlets and one USB-C outlet on the converter. The whole set up (six adapters and the voltage converter) is smaller than the five old adapters I previously used not including the separate voltage converter. Really nice. Read more

I read several articles which all claimed this was a good product for hairdryers and curling irons. I would not recommend it. I have a Drybar blowout hair dryer (the one with the brush) and by the middle of the trip, it was popping and I could see sparks coming out at times. It overheated to the point where it was almost burning to touch in the handle area. I’m worried it’s irreparably damaged from this. I also used a curl wand with it. Before leaving, I double checked that the curl wand was off. I got back to discover the curl wand was NOT off and had been hot the whole time. It usually has an override that will shut it off but it seems the adapter didn’t allow it to be triggered properly. It also was spotty with my phone charging. Sometimes my phone would go from 1% to 50% in a matter of minutes then others it would take a half hour to charge to that much. Finally, by the end of the trip simply running my hair dryer for a few minutes seemed to cause it to overheat and trigger a very loud fan. 0/10 would not recommend. Read more

Very useful on our recent trip to Italy. Lots of options for connections. Only negative is it's a bit heavy for travel. Nonetheless will use it again on future trips to EU Read more
