I am an avid matcha drinker and I must say that this is a great quality product. Pros: Great price point and non GMO, deep electric green color, very grassy/seaweed aroma (which is the hallmark of good quality matcha), nice storage tin, extremely fine texture that is easy to whisk. Comes with a small scoop that is sufficient for 5 ounces of water. Cons: slightly bitter. I prefer matcha with very little bitterness. Overall, I would highly recommend. This is actually the first time my husband and I have ever tried matcha, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I blended this matcha with cold almond milk while my husband mixed his with hot water for tea. The matcha came in a sealed pack for perfect freshness and came with a little measuring spoon. It is a soft powder that is vibrant green and the smell reminded me of fresh cut grass. The taste is earthy and light and mixed in easily and completely to both the hot water and the cold almond milk. It wasn't at all bitter and had just the right amount of sweetness. Just one scoop of the tiny measuring spoon is needed for a 5oz cup. Since I have a matcha bowl and whist, it is convenient to prepare a nice cup of latte in the traditional way. There is a tiny spoon in the tin to help dispensing. I used two scoops of the power to mix with a cup of hot water and beat with the whisk. The latte smells fresh and looks pleasant with a layer of smooth foam on top. Since this product is in a ceremonial grade, the latte doesn’t have an astringent flavor. In stead, it tastes like a mixture of sweet nutty with a little pleasant bitter. The latte is delicious without sugar, but it tastes smoother with a little sugar. It is nice to enjoy the high-quality matcha. However, this product contains only 30 grams.
