Cesun Motion Sensor Trash Can 5 Gallon Automatic Bathroom Garbage Can with Lid Touchless Smart Plastic Slim Wastebasket

We bought this trash can for our bathroom and it worked perfectly until we had to change the batteries after five weeks of use. At that point, it would no longer open automatically, but it would open when pushing the power button. So clearly there was power. We cleaned the sensor. Still nothing. I wrote to the company that evening and by the next morning, I had a response with some trouble-shooting techniques. First of all, I've never gotten a response from a company that quickly before. They stated if the troubleshooting didn't work, to send them a video of the issue. But it worked! The trick that worked? Hold the power button down for 3 seconds until the light flashes green three times. Now it works as good as new! I hope that helps someone! I'm super impressed with the company, the speed of their contact and their list of troubleshooting techniques that allowed me to fix the problem immediately. I would recommend this trash can. It operates as described and fits very well in the space intended for, between the toilet and the vanity. I was looking for a medium sized trash can for a bathroom and wanted one with a lid that opened and closed hands free. This particular trash can checks all the boxes. When it arrived I installed (2) AA batteries (not included) and a trash bag. No bags are included but a 5-7 gallon bag fits well or even plastic bags from the grocery store. I lifted out the ring provided to hang the bag from, folded the bag over the ring and placed it in the trash can, tucking the excess in the trash can so the bag does not show on the outside. The sensitivity of the automatic lid is just right, not too sensitive, but sensitive enough. The lid is very quiet when it opens but does not close slowly so does make a slight noise when it closes. The noise is not excessive enough to make it a game changer. The 5 gallon capacity is the perfect size for a bathroom or bedroom. I would highly recommend this trash can! Read more
