Let me start out by saying that Champion is a very underrated brand. To me, they are right up there with Nike in quality and durability. Under armour used to be the king of exercise clothing for me, but after a few years of being in business, their prices just kept climbing. I also noticed that their clothing quality has reduced dramatically and the prices kept climbing. I am all about Champion right now. I have a few Champion compression shirts and such, but I needed a good pair of running shorts. Most of the Asics and other brands are like 5x the price of these, and these shorts are well worth their money. I paid less than $20 for these and they feel like a $50 set of shorts. My favorite feature about these shorts is the back. There are holes everywhere for evaporation and it does a very good job. The back of the shorts were completely dry after a 2 hour run. The front side was dry as well. The inner brief is what bugs me the most about running shorts. I have several other pairs where it always rides up. On these shorts, it still rides up, but not nearly as frequently. I would say every half hour or so I would have to make a small adjustment, where my other shorts it was every 5 minutes. Get these if you want a good set of summer running shorts. They are nice for the springtime as well. Very Lightweight shorts and well made. Read more

Look, the fact is, these are great, tremendously comfortable running shorts. The problem here is my expectations that there will be at least one pocket large enough to hold my cell phone. These shorts have only one pocket (the small key zipper on the back). The zipper pocket IS a nice addition, but the lack of even one side pocket means I have to strap my phone to my arm when I run, which I don't like doing. On the other hand, they are very comfortable with no chafing (an issue I have with boxer briefs (minor) and compression shorts(major)). There was a little bit (very small and not uncomfortable like with boxer briefs) of riding up/bunching during a 5.5 mile run up and down hills on a humid 85+ degree day, but it was minimal and just a quick tug set everything right again. Like all running shorts, I wish they were a LITTLE longer as 7" looks pretty skimpy on a 6'6" guy, but I realize people my size aren't really a viable target market for running shorts, so I'll just have to get comfortable showing off my thighs. The waist ties took a little getting used to. They are strung the opposite direction of most basketball/mesh shorts, so you have to pull each one out towards it's side first, and then tie it to get them snug. I thought at first that it was good there wasn't a phone pocket, because I couldn't tie the waist tight enough, but I tried again and realized the mechanism they use pretty much guarantees they won't untie mid-run by putting pressure on the base knot to keep it from ever unraveling the bow (in fact I had some trouble getting them off after my run because the tension on the ties was enough to keep them bound by friction even when I pulled out the bow). Add a single pocket anywhere large enough to carry a phone, and these are pretty ideal, without the pocket, they lose a star for me because I have to strap something else to my arm (I already have a smartwatch and heartrate monitor) Read more

Shorts fit as expected and are of good quality. The inner drawstring quality and implementation is among the best I've seen in running shorts as it can easily be tied easily and securely. There is one small packet in the rear for keys or a card, but is probably too small for a phone. Material is comfortable and very breathable. These do have a comfortable liner inside for those of you who prefer to "freeball" Read more

These shorts are fine for a while -- fit well, very lightweight, etc. But the stitching must be very low-quality. I have three pairs and all are breaking down after a disappointing amount of time. I've lost two house keys through the pocket on one pair because the stitching separated, and the stitching down the side of the legs are separating on all of them. Get what you pay for, I guess. I'm buying better-quality next time. Read more

These are almost great shorts. Great material, super comfortable, good length, supportive liner. It has no regular pockets, which would be fine, but the little zipper pocket on the back isn't in the greatest location. My phone that's about the size of an iPhone 5 barely fits, but fits nonetheless. Success, I thought... The problem is the phone in the back pulls the waist down as I run, so I have to keep pulling them up or people behind me will probably think I'm a plumber. It's fine for lighter items like a key and ID. I much prefer these shorts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DSZVPF8 Read more

I run daily so I've gone through a few pairs of running shorts and I know what I like. These are great. They have a draw string. They are made of a lightweight ,breathable fabric that vents well. They have a liner for a good fit. The length is just right, not too short, not too long. I'm 33w and the M is just right. I use them in the gym and for running. I'm going to buy several more pair. I just found the small zippered pocket in the center rear of the shorts. Suitable for credit cards or keys. Read more
