I never wright reviews, this is my first! But I've been searching for practical travel gear. I'm 5'6.5", 130 lbs. Shamefully, I tried both Med and LG (returning is such a waste). Med fit cute, but sleeves were way too short. large is roomy enough to layer, but not too sloppy, and snuggy comfortable. I'm grateful the choice was made for me by the bad sleeve length for me. I have SUPER sensitive skin and thought it itched at first (paranoid), was planning to return. But after time, it's fine, super soft to touch. I actually love it after a few hrs on bare skin. I'm really trying to evaluate thoroughly. I Stood in front of my swamp cooler, and it seems effectively warm. I Looked through the fabric in light, and it looked uniform and well made. Zippers DO suck. I didn't remove the bottom piece, but cut off the bottom tab. I guess I own it now. The medium sized I tried first, I couldn't get the zipper to work easily, so I think quality is piece by piece. That's unfortunate on such an otherwise nice product. I think I can manage, or find a seamstress in the future who can make it awesome for about $10. The rest of the product is pretty nice, especially at half the price of any competitors for merino wool I found. If you can afford top quality products, buy that, for sure! If you are on a medium budget, give this a chance? (Make sure for free returns). Often, buying top gear is worth it it, but if you are on a tight budget, even this piece is too much to afford at $80ish. If you are poor, you are probably not buying Moreno wool. Been there, done that, still at the bargain phase. You CAN survive adventures with what you have, but having the nice gear is totally worth the investment! Read more

This merino hoodie was a good buy. It is soft and fits well. Merino is great for keeping me comfortable even when going from cold to warmer environment. The blue color is nice and goes well with jeans. I am 5'4" - 105lbs and purchased an XS. It fits well with enough room to wear over 2 layers. Lightweight for packing. I always wash merino garments in a bag to avoid pilling. Read more

I am disappointed in the quality of the item. For an initial wearing of the sweater I took it on a trip where I wore it approximately 10 hours. The sleeves and sides are incredibly pilled and the seam of the hood torn. I would have assumed the item was ONE PIECE, eliminating a seam on the hood, and the pilling is unacceptable Read more
