I wanted a spare plug in cord for my current laptop, and this is it, folks! It fits the socket on my laptop perfectly and plugs into my surge protector great on the other end. (I keep as many electronics on surge protectors as possible so as not to have them die after a power surge following an outage.0 With my old laptop, I had the power cord die following an outage; now I'm protected against that possibility, and even if someone accidentally steps on the cord and breaks the internal wiring, I am now protected against not being able to use my laptop because I can't get it to recharge.
