As someone who uses their Meta glasses all day, every day, trying to keep them charged can be a hassle. So, I was interested to try out this charging station at my desk. The device itself works as expected; it charged my glasses without issue. It's also pretty sturdy, so it stays upright, and comes with a nifty sticker to keep it from sliding around the desk space. The big downside for me is the placement prongs, which I suspect are used to keep the glasses in place on the station. I have little stick-on nosepads on my Meta glasses to prevent them from slipping or pinching my nose, and this charging dock did not like them at all. With the nosepads on, it was difficult to slide the glasses into position, and I felt like I had to yank them off the charging dock once they were done. I also don't know what the benefit of using the charging station is over the glasses case itself. Honestly, this charger would've been a total win if it cradled the glasses case itself and served as a charging station in that capacity. I could see myself using these while on vacation for my bedside, but due to the issues I have while my glasses are equipped with the nosepads, I'll probably stick to my case charger. Read more

Really love how compact this is. However, on my last Road Trip, which is the first time I use this, when the glasses are not powered on, this thing sort of freak freaks out. It goes from red light to green light randomly and although it charges, it seems the light is not working right or it’s not doing the right thing I’ve had other chargers like this and usually it just takes a few extra seconds until the charging light goes on, but then it stays charging until it’s finished, but this one has some issues Besides that it’s great it’s my go to For on the road Read more

The media could not be loaded. I got this charging stand because placing my glasses back in the case every time was getting old, and the concept of having a simple drop and charge setup is great. The design looks nice and the cable connects cleanly, making it a much easier station to keep on a desk. The biggest drawback is how light the base is. When I try to lift my glasses with one hand, the charger comes up with them, so I have to hold the dock down with my other hand or push it off with one hand like in the video. I’m probably going to secure it to the table because that would make it far more convenient. The charging itself is a little inconsistent too. Sometimes it charges my glasses fully and other times it stops short but not always so not a big deal. Even with those flaws, I still like the overall idea and find it useful enough to keep on my stand. With a heavier base or a bit of extra stability, it would be much closer to perfect. Read more

The build quality feels decent, and feels premium. It’s definitely more about functionality than luxury though. Charging speed is about the same as the standard cable, so don’t expect faster charging—but the ease of just dropping the glasses on the dock is worth it.
