These are absolutely adorable boots. I normally wear a 6.5, however, half sizes aren't available, so Amazon recommended a size 7 for me. The size 7 fits great with a little giggle room, which is good because the soles are not that comfortable. I was able to put a full size shoe insert with an arch. Now they are comfortable. These boots were ordered for a Renaissance theme Halloween costume, with the plan to use them for regular use after. They are very good quality. They look amazing. I purchased these boots based on all the raving positive reviews, however, I purchased them two sizes bigger based on the negative reviews. Typically I wear 8.5-9 size in summer shoes, 10 in winter boots. I also suffer from collapsed arches due to many years of neglect and wearing wrong shoes with no arch support. I ordered these boots in 11 based on the negative reviews and because I wanted some extra space for an orthopedic insert with high arch support. Yes, they do run small, however, because I purchased them literally 2.5 sizes bigger I have enough room for my toes and for the orthopedic insert. These boots are horribly hard inside and the middle section of my foot literally had no support, it hung inside the shoe unsupported. The inner middle sole is not even flat inside, it just not there. This is how I destroyed my arches, by wearing shoes with no arch support, and eventually my arches collapsed causing a lot of pain and problems in my life. Truthfully, I don't know where all the raving reviews come from. Did I receive different boots? I don't think so. I cannot see anyone walking and dancing for many hours in these boots as they are, maybe unless that person does not suffer from foot problems yet and healthy feet tend to put up with a lot, just like mine did - until one day I was screaming in pain and found myself not being able to make another step, because it hurt so bad. You need quality inserts with good arch support for these boots, it means that you have to purchase these boots at least two sizes bigger because they run so small. The size chart they have is not accurate. Of course, an insert with good arch support costs $30-$35 so you need to add it to the overall cost of the boots.
