I have had and been regularly wearing these Chef Works men's eaze cargo pants for a little more than 3 months now and I love them. They fit great, are very comfortable to wear, and the stitching and craftwork of such are impeccable in every regard. The waist has some elasticity in the back to allow these to stretch some in the waist. There are two regular front pockets at the hips, plus a smaller coin pocket inside the right hip pocket. There are also two rear pockets in the back. In addition, there are two lower pockets down on the thigh areas, and the thigh pocket on the right side is set on an angle that makes reaching into such more comfortable and also has a zipper. They have a very professional and sleek look, but are extraordinarily comfortable and feel like super casual pants when wearing them. One time I wore them to work (in an office of formally dressed professionals) and felt like I was cheating the formal dress code because they feel so extremely comfortable yet look very sleek and professional. The lower thigh pockets do not protrude outward much (unless you have them packed with stuff) and the openings for the lower pockets blend right into the pants and are seemingly imperceptible. They are well made and durable. After months of wearing, washing, and drying them, they are still holding up perfectly. For all of these reasons, I have rated these as 5 stars and strongly recommend them to anyone looking for an extremely comfortable and professional looking quality pair of pants with good versatility in terms of pocket availability and use. The positives: soft, light and airy, stylish The negatives: bad cargo design, belt loops spaced too far apart I am serious about the cargo aspect of cargo pants. I don't care much what a cargo pant looks like, I care about how it works. An ideal pair of cargo slacks has two normal pockets in front, two additional LARGE pockets in front directly below those with some sort of closure, buttons or snaps, and normal back pockets. You shouldn't require to be a contortionist to reach any of the 4 front pockets, the front pockets shouldn't be too far to the side. For point of comparison, the Red Kap Men's Industrial Cargo Pant is what I normally wear. With these pants, all of the front pockets are too far back. The right side cargo pocket has a zip, which is nice though I prefer snaps. It could stand to be bigger. The left side cargo pocket is small, with no closure. Closures on cargo pockets aren't optional in my book. Additionally, the belt loops are spaced too far apart to put on your belt without the aforementioned contortions. I had to take the pants back off to get the belt through the back loop. If you want fashionable pants these are nice looking pants. If looking chef-like is a priority, you will look chef-like. If you are someone who wants to carry stuff in extra pockets, you might want to look elsewhere. Disclaimer: I am not a professional chef But I do have need of a comfortable, good looking pair of black pants. These do the job. The material is cool and wrinkle-resistant, and does not seem to hold on to dirt. Living up to its cargo pant genealogy, it sports two deep back pockets, two deep front pockets, and a half-sized right pocket within a pocket for keys or such. And there are two thigh pockets (one with a zipper) that is perfect for a cell phone. The pockets are not big and bulky, and do not alter the slim, dressy look these pants offer. But I do have a problem with them. First off, they run tight to size on the waste. I wear a 34" normally. These pants call that a small (33-35"); but when I put them on, they are tight! Thank goodness for the elastic back! But I need every bit of the flex to get them buttoned. I could go up a size - but then the inseam would be too long. If your job requires you to wear "black pants", but you need access to a variety of things in your pockets that typical chinos can't accommodate - or if you just find chinos uncomfortable and restrictive - these might be a good compromise for you! They're made from a polyester material that should be relatively carefree for maintenance - they are definitely low-wrinkle pants that are easy to keep looking good. Fit is true to size. There's an elastic waistband that gives you a bit of forgiveness and allows movement without being uncomfortable, but they are intended to sit snugly (a good thing if you load up the pockets). I found the length to be just about right, but I'm on the taller side, so you might need to hem them if you're shorter. These are a little on the pricey side, but if they're the right combination of features to make your work life easier, it might be money well spent. They're intended for chefs, but I'm using them as stage blacks and they work well for occasional use in that role, too. Read more
Specially designed with tall guys in mind. And can order a size or two up if you like something that's on the baggy side. I like that they have just the right amount of weight to them. But they're still relatively lightweight enough that you don't notice after a long period of time cooking in them. Easy to launder, and durable enough that I think they should last me a few years.
