I bought this because of the reviews, and it was everything it was supposed to be. I've used it about 20 times now, and it has been reliable, and the food has been very tasty. Some food may take a bit longer than the times laid out in the guides, but it all comes out great. In small quantities it is much more convenient and cooks quicker than the full oven. If you're cooking something small you're going to burn it if you go by oven directions, cut the time in half and just check on the food. I love throwing 3-4 drumsticks in it, chicken is so juicy from this thing, and the design cuts out the greasiness. Oil drips down into the bottom of the basket, to be thrown out, which is something you don't get when you make chicken in a full oven like I usually do. It's a great size, two goes are usually as long as the regular oven time for an entree, so you can do that with it, though it's also big enough to make a side or two for four people. I really like this air fryer! It fits with what I'm doing with dinner and snacks, and it has quickly become a big part of my kitchen. Read more

The fryer that I bought was the one with the digital temperature/timer display. Using that one is a little bit more complex as there are no clicky buttons. So at times it was a little bit harder to use the plus option to increase time or the temperature. It goes up to 400° Max. It also came with a booklet for air fryer recipes in addition to a few air fryer liners. The instructions note that they prefer that you use liners with the air fryer. I have bought additional liners off of Amazon and they work perfectly for cleaning up. The fryer is a superb value. I used to have an old 2 quart air fryer which had died on me towards the end of December. This one has been a godsend and amazing. I'm able to cook any kind of food very easily in a lot of fried foods that I like such as french fries or onion rings, and they ome out perfectly crispy. A straight up excellent purchase! Read more

First go around with an air fryer. This product is nicely made and very easy to clean. Hamburgers and veggies are excellent cooking this way. Restricted diet right now, so haven't tried potatoes or other starchy veggies yet. Beef and pork steaks are cooked nicely, but don't really see any time advantage over outdoor grill (and I think I enjoy the char from the grill), but it is another option if grilling is not available. As to size, this one is fine for one or 2 people (e.g., three 1/3 burgers), but I would want something larger for more people - which makes the unit take up more counter space (think countertop microwave type space for the larger units). So, the only downside, is the temperature increment is only by 25 degrees (e.g., 400, 375, 350), so you may have to make adjustments if a recipe calls from 360 or 380. That said, I haven't really seen a whole lot of difference between cooking at 400 versus 375, so might not be a big deal - hasn't for me so far that I can tell. Read more

This is an inexpensive effective way to avoid frying your food. My first goal was to lower the oil I was using. I had no idea it would cook some foods better than other techniques. I BBQ my heavy meats, so I don't use it for that. I do use it for fish, scallops, taquitos, chicken, turkey meatballs, sliced potatoes, and stuff like that. The biggest shock was scallops. I have a tendency to overcook them. With this, I get the frozen ones, un-freeze them in water in the sink for 10 minutes, pat dry, lightly coat in Japanese bread crumb mix, and fry for 6 minutes. They are great on a salad! That's a filling light and healthy meal. The other benefit is that it does not heat up the whole kitchen like the oven does. I just set it and forget it. I love this so much, I bought another one for the cabin. I have a generator so I could probably take this camping too. I might even try that. Update Jury 2020: I tried to order a second one of these as a gift, but they are taking FOREVER to ship it. Amazon took the order and sat on it. It has stalled in their system. I think this is "non-essential." I have Amazon Prime, and they are not actually shipping items now. I am thinking of canceling the amazon prime $120 charge that hits next month. So, you might want to go to Target and look for them. Read more

Drawback for me 'cause I'm short, display is on top. Otherwise it's a nice size, quiet, efficient. Should come with a step stool. lol Oh, and it has a bake feature, though I haven't used that part yet. Read more
