It sharpens kitchen knives
This is a nice unit. For dull knives will take up to 12 or so passes. Works great on kitchen knes. Utility knives and pocket knives is harder as it doesn’t get the whole blade. Read more
This electric sharpener sharpens 20 degree kitchen knives to a razor sharp condition.
I purchased this Chefs Choice electric sharpener hoping that it would sharpen the edges of my American & European kitchen knives. I have tried a variety of manual sharpening tools, "draw through models" as well as sharpening stones. None of these devices worked to my satisfaction. This Chefs Choice electronic sharpener did the job; it sharpened my knives to a very fine razor's edge and it did it in "short order". And with Amazon I received it in one day. What could be better. Sharp knives.
I don't give 5 star reviews. But this come dangerously close. This is my 2nd chefs choice 120. 1st one worked for me for more than 15 years. It makes meat cutting much easier. What used to take 5-10 min to resharpen, now it's less than a minute to get that sharp meat cutting edge. Just make sure of the angle of your knife, or it will take a few minutes for the sharpener to reshape your edge. Read more

very nice tool,gives a wicked sharp edge on all my knives, even on a large heavy chopping knife used on coconuts - one hit now opens em up. A stone is for sure the best, but this tool makes it very easy for ANYONE to sharpen any knife in the house. heavy motor should last. easy to use but DO read the directions. sending one as a gift. Wow! It's great to have sharp knives again. We love it! Now our favorites knives can be sharpened whenever needed. I wish we hadn't waited so long to get this. We had one twenty-five years ago, and should have replaced it immediately when it wore out. Read more
