I've used a handful of clay bars before---and each time I am amazed by how such a simple procedure improves a wax job. Something about the clay shaves off dirt, imperfections and film so nicely, leaving a vastly smoothed and prepared surface for a finish. If you've ever been disappointed that a freshly waxed car feels a little...gritty?...this is the answer right here. Clay bars are great, but also are a little bit of a hassle...kneading it, keeping from dropping it, monitoring the level of dirt & grit in the clay. Sometimes they get sticky, and I've had one kind of dissolve mid-job. I thought I'd try this because the surface is so nice and flat and it would be easy to handle. The BEST thing about it is that it can be rinsed and wiped clean as often as you'd like, giving you a fresh surface. Aficionados debate whether these devices are as good as real clay. Having used both, I'd say that the Clay Block is easily good enough for the regular Joe trying to get a smooth, glossy finish on the daily driver. I thought it was very easy to use, rinse-able, and it allowed me to get a fantastic finish on a white 2012 Rogue (which was a filthy mess). Two coats of Duragloss and the car looks like new---really. Glassy smooth. I don't think I could have done any better with a regular clay bar. I got a great tip from watching a youtube review on this thing---the guy used a very light touch---didn't bear down at all. Like---three fingers pressure. If you press too hard, the edges will catch the finish and the block will try to pull itself out of your hands. That's the clue that you're pressing too hard. Use lots of lube (quick detailer spray---I used Griots and it was great), use a light touch letting the bar do the work, rinse and wipe it clean with a microfiber towel, and enjoy the magic. Used this on a black Corvette, exceptional outcome and highly recommended. As you may know, black is probably the most difficult color to work with, as it tends to have micro scratches. It takes a little bit of elbow grease, but the results are excellent. Read more

I have used clay bars to keep my vehicles paint looking great for decades. The clay has evolved and this was my first time using a synthetic. I am very impressed it fills a niche between using a heavy and a fine. I would recommend using this on new vehicles especially if you plan to use a product like Adam's ceramic graphine. You will not be disappointed in the showroom shine appearance. Read more

First off this was my first time clay-baring a car/my car. The product was easy to use, i was worried about scratching my paint because of the other reviews. However i started gentle, then worked my away around the car. It was a learning process for me and didnt add any new scratches that werent already there. I did end up using all the lube spray, use alot in the begining...learning then got better as i worked around the car. The bar does it job and when it got to dirty, i sprayed the bar and rubbed it on my window and it was clean from all the dirt. Overall the product works well, and now i have a clay bar for the next few cleanings. I will have to buy more spray lube for the next cleaning. I will say using this product with my 2016 WRX in the city that i wash maybe every 2 to 3 weeks. It did a good job at getting the paint feeling smooth and ready for wax. Read more

Easy to use and it worked well on a 20-yr old vehicle for a clay bar novice like myself. Read more

Hello people, I use it on the first day. That came in and I use it on the truck hood and everything went very good and no scratches or miss up my coating or anything else. Idk why people say it miss up there paint or coating but who know. How they do it because you can't do this on the sun because if the sun hitting the car and you use it. It miss up your paint and the coating and don't do it with pressure. Do it very slow. Take your time on it. Thats the best thing to do. "Easy to use" Read more

Overall great product, easy to use and works great. Removed all of the embedded contaminants from parking the truck outside every day. We used this to prep for the Ceramic coatings for the paint, glass, and wheels. I would suggest for a crew cab, regular bed truck to get two (2) bottles is the clay luber. One bottle was enough for just the paint and glass. The bar worked very well for the large areas of the truck. Would definitely buy again with an additional bottle of clay luber. Read more
