The wrist rest works well and provides excellent support for those that desire a firm surface to rest on. Cool to the touch and transfer heat quite quickly. Only drawback is it does not sit flush against any keyboard other than the Cherry AC as there is a nub sticking out. If you have a nice keyboard, you probably need a nice wrist rest. I’ve dealt with a bout or two carpal tunnel over the years, and a wrist rest makes a big difference. If you have a Cherry MX 3.0 or similar full-size keyboard, this wrist rest is built specifically for your unit. Those keyboards have angled housings that perfectly mate with this rest’s back edge, and the fit is nice and clean. Or so I presume. I don’t actually have any of the Cherry keyboards this goes with. But I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit your board just fine. Right now, I’m using a Womier SK71 Pro tenkeyless (75%) that isn’t a “perfect” fit for this thing, and it’s still pretty much a perfect fit. Aside from the length, anyway. This is a LONG wrist rest. And that makes sense, as it’s for full-sized keyboards (95% and up, basically). I don’t personally care too much about having all the edges line up, though. From a practical use standpoint, a wrist rest that’s wider than your keyboard is actually more ergonomically fitting across all typing scenarios. Nevertheless, if you care about that particular symmetry, only get this rest to pair with a keyboard that’s around 17 inches in length, because that’s about how long this thing is. Construction of this rest is excellent. The aluminum is cooling and comfortable, and the whole thing is padded adequately with silicone feet. My only complaint is that the grooves in the rest itself tend to collect dust and debris. If you eat at your computer, it’ll collect crumbs for sure. None of that is a huge deal to me, and it’s certainly nothing a blast of canned air can’t fix, but there you are. Recently got a Cherry MX keyboard and was using my previous plastic keyboard riser with it, which works but for some reason it slides around a lot on there. So I figured this since riser is made FOR that keyboard it had to work better, right? That turned out to be a good choice since it's not only a better solution, it's a perfect fit! The keyboard literally attached right to the keyboard which is great - it makes it incredibly stable and adds some heft/weight to the keyboard, which helps in naturally helps it stay in place. The first thing you will notice when you take it out of the box is that it's small - don't let that fool you - this is a premium looking and feeling item (think something Apple would have in one of their stores) AND it performs like a champ. It puts the keyboard at a perfect height, it makes it a bit more comfortable to sit at too, especially when you are using it for many hours at a time. The wrist rest part is surprisingly comfortable and nicely ergonomic - small enough to elevate but not anything that will get in the way or slow down typing etc. So it's pretty much perfect for quick trigger things like gaming but also fantastic for just using regular applications too. Should you need to take the keyboard off to clean your desk, replace keys etc, that's fairly easy to do too...and since this is a nice silver metal material, it doesn't attract dirt or dust very much at all. That's a nice un-advertised benefit! Since this is a specialized, premium item, it's not cheap but at the $24 price point, it is very fair and honestly worth every penny as it really is incredibly useful and SO well made. This is not something you will need to replace in months or even years...heck, at this rate it will probably outlast the keyboard itself LOL. Highly recommend this item - it's fantastic! Read more
