OK, the main reason you're going to buy this is for the Cherry switches. They're legendary in their quality, and the company is directly involved with the production of this keyboard. And the switches are all great. The sound is more creamy than thocky, but that's fine. Also, I need to bring this up somewhere, the LEDs are north-facing. It's not mentioned anywhere in the copy, and it's de rigeur for Cherry switches, but some might not know that or might prefer south-facing LEDs. Personally I prefer north-facing, so that's good for me. I tested the Bluetooth as well as the wireless connectivity, and it works perfectly. I also like how you can switch between BT devides on the fly. The switch is immediate, so I can type on my PC and then quickly switch to my phone with basically no lag. The lights are bright enough, though the lighting options are a little limited, even with the app. I hope that at some point VIA adds it to their compatibility list. The screen is helpful, but once you get it set up you won't be using it much. You might use it for the APM mode to try to quantify your gaming, but I don't use it that often. The biggest problem with this keyboard are the keycaps. The legends on them are very dark, to the point where they are unreadable except in very bright light, and they are NOT shine-through. So unless you use your computer in a very bright room at all times or are an exclusive touch typist, you're going to want to change the keycaps. Fortunately I had a set ready to go, otherwise I would find this unusable. Through the process, though, I can verify that the keycaps and the switches are hot-swappable. Then there's the price. I probably wouldn't have bought this keyboard at the price listed, but I expect this keyboard to go on sale after a while, in which case it could be a good value, especially if you have a set of keycaps to replace it with. I'm just now learning the difference between Linear and Tactile Keys with the Gaming keyboards and getting use to them from a regular game paddle is a lot different. This Wegear actually was recommended to me from my gaming son. He says it's smoother quicker for gamers and he was right. I do love the Colors that light up on this keyboard and the each key is quieter than the Tactile Switch one's. You can Use this keyboard other than for a Gaming. And the Keys are easy to replace/switch out. I recommend you do your research prior to buying and switching over. There's a lot to learn. I will say this, the price is about the same as other's alike when I shopped around. And I do like this Linear Keys Over the Tactile like my Son's last one. Read more

I would LOVE to give this 5 stars but there are things about this keyboard that simply are not thought out. I love the cherry switches, but coming from a Razer Blackwidow they are so sensitive that I find myself hitting a key without even realizing it. I've been using this board for several weeks and still have not gotten used to that. Even typing this review has caused me to long press on keys several times. This is a minor thing and I knew it didn't have them but I miss my home, end, insert, pg up, pg down, del, prnt screen, and scroll lock from my Razer. I didn't realize just how much I used those keys until I got this one. The big one, I game in a dark room and even though I know where the keys are for the most part, the keys themselves do not light up the actual letter or number. You can only see the lighting around them. This makes it difficult to type sometimes. The F and J have the raised area on them so you can find home row, but I find in the dark that it's harder to find. I think it's due to the softer keys and smaller bump. I find myself hunting more when I take my hands off of them. There is also some very positive pluses. The lighting on this Is very freaking cool with the translucent keys and the preset lighting schemes are very good and I would say much better than my Razer. The built in display is very cool and easy to navigate and no additional software was needed. Read more

I use this for both work and gaming. It handles both situations well. Overall, it's a nice keyboard and I LOVE the size. It's as small as a tenkeyless BUT actually has the number pad. I don't use the keys that are missing anyway, but if you like all the page up page down, etc this may not be for you. The size is 75% I think, and replacing keycaps was an ordeal. The right CTRL is 1u which is not the norm, so is the 0 key on the number pad. These are usually bigger, so most key cap sets lack them. You have to really search to find a set that will have all compatible keys. And unless you use this in a super bright room you will want to change out the keycaps. They are black topped pudding keys, with red lettering. RED. How foolish is that. You really can't see the legends at all unless its a well lit room. So every morning I was staring at a blank keyboard. I finally caved and ordered new keycaps. Go for a larger set like 134 keys to make sure you get the odd sized ones you need on this keyboard. I have attached a photo of it in low light. As for the crazy high 8000hz, its more gimmicky than anything. I highly doubt anyone can tell the difference between a zippy 1000hz and this proposed 8000hz. But hey if its what gets you excited about your keyboard, go for it. Also the little screen is nifty but it only animates on start up and usually it doesn't even do it then. Do not get this keyboard for that feature. You will be disappointed. Read more
