I initially purchased this based on the size chart, and I could pull it all the way shut in the back (and then some). That’s probably not how you’re going to wear your corset. However, they only give you enough ribbon so that if you do size down, you’re going to have trouble getting this over your head. (Or hips, but I’m smaller up top than on bottom.) So here are your options: Buy it in a too-big size (defeats the purpose) Re-lace it with something longer Untie the lacing and re-lace when you’re taking it on or off Or, struggle every time you take it on or off I don’t have a body shape that gains any actual waist reduction from corsets, but I bought this to give me a smoother shape under certain clothes. It does that, and it’s comfortable and discreet. I do like the no-busk design specifically because I wanted to wear it under clothes, even if it does make dressing and undressing a pain. The material seems thin because it’s mesh, but so far it’s been able to stand up to a lot of squirming and tugging while putting it on/taking it off.
