This dress is very striking in person. The white is a true, bright white, the stitching is clean, and the overall silhouette is beautiful. I love the cape detail and the length of the skirt. It has a very polished, elegant feel. I do wish the cape were a little longer for added drama, but the concept is lovely. The fit has a lot of stretch, so if you need room, the fabric will give. However, the material itself feels more like event wear fabric rather than a luxury knit. It’s very stretchy, which can be helpful for sizing but doesn’t provide much structure. I sized up, and in hindsight I should’ve stuck with my regular size. It ended up loose in some areas and form fitting in others. There is a slit in the back, so be mindful of how high it comes up. You may want to stitch it slightly or wear a slip underneath for modesty. One thing this dress absolutely needs is a belt. Without one, it looks a bit plain, but adding a belt instantly gives it shape and polish. Pair it with sheer white, silver, or sparkly heels, and gold or chunky silver jewelry to complete the look. This dress works well for church, cocktail events, weddings where white is allowed, or a white themed party. It’s a solid wardrobe piece for special occasions, especially those first Sundays. Make sure if you get this to pay close attention to the sizing. It was supposed to be skin tight and I usually wear a large in dresses so I got a large in this as well but it was much much too tight. I definitely would have liked to size up. I was able to put it on still and it was tight but it shaped my body really well but isnt really great at hiding tummy fat when looking from the side so I would definitely recommend wearing shape wear with it, which might make you want to size up just one size also to be able to fit that in there as well. The material is thick and made really well. It does NOT feel cheap at all. It does have a bit of stretch to it which is why I could still put mine on even though I needed to size up one size and I imagine it would be really comfortable at the correct size as well.
