We are very happy with this backpack. My son is in kindergarten and picked out the design himself, which he absolutely loves. That alone made it a win from the start. It’s a little bigger than I expected for a kindergartener, but it has a clip on the front to keep it in place. It fits everything he needs comfortably and gives us room to grow. We’re about six months in now, and there are no signs of wear or falling apart. The zippers, stitching, and straps have all held up great with daily use. Overall, this has been a great purchase. We got this for my son who was entering preschool early. We made the mistake of buying a small backpack labeled as "for preschoolers" from Pottery Barn. It was pretty tiny and wouldn't fit the folder that would come home with my son every day. They recommend we just buy a normal-sized backpack. We found this while searching through Amazon and my son, who was 3 at the time, loved the design with the monster trucks. I am so glad we made this purchase! We are now on year 3 of preschool...my son is 4, turning 5 in December. He still loves this backpack. We love it because it still looks brand new! I love the quality and durability. Other reviews were concerned about quality and zipper functionality, but we have had zero problems. My son carries a folder, snack bag, hoodie, hat, gloves in the winter, and items for Show and Tell with space still left in the backpack. While it is durable and the fabric feels nice and sturdy, it is not at all bulky and is very lightweight. My toddler son can carry it and not feel weighed down by it, even when the backpack is full. I let my son pick out his own backpack for Pre-K and this is the one he selected! It’s a great size, durable (since he drags it half the time), has a folder pocket (big enough also for a laptop or tablet) and the color is bright and vibrant that hasn’t faded. Love this backpack! Read more

We've had it a few days and the quality seems pretty good! I was impressed for a random backpack brand on amazon. The zippers seem fine. It's being used for 1st grade so there's not much in her backpack being tested to see if the zippers could hold up. I would recommend. The hooks on the sides are to hold a matching lunchbox if you also purchase that. The side pockets are designed well. theres the patterned fabric covering most of the pocket with a small amount of mesh on the sides which I think would help to keep them from tearing. They stretch and are easy to get water bottles in and out. I am happy with my purchase. Read more

I bought this backpack for my kindergartner. I purchased the larger size knowing she’d have a lot to pack in there! Love the backpack, but the zipper isn’t very high quality and broke after only a few months. Granted, we pack that thing full, but knowing how much the backpacks get beat up I wouldn’t invest the extra money in a “nicer” one again unless I knew the zipper was more durable. Read more
