Well constructed, classic looking raincoat that kept me warm & dry on our trip to Ireland & subsequent rainy days around Chicago. I love that it has nice deep side pockets & a good interior pocket. I am 5'3, 117 lb with a 34A chest & 37" hips. The small fits me perfectly with plenty of room for a chunky sweater. The warmth & dryness are the important features, but for me there are a few negatives. The belt is incredibly long & has to be tied instead of slid through its buckle which is a bit odd. The hood won't stay up when I pull it over my head. I have to hold it for it to stay in place. And finally it's just a matter of opinion but I find the flare cut at the bottom a bit unflattering, but that's just a style opinion. Overall I am very happy with this raincoat. I'd say it runs pretty true to size. It basically depends on how you are planning on wearing it: if over a thick sweater, definitely go up a size, but if over a thin top im the spring, early fall, stick to your normal size. For the record I'm 220lbs, 5'4", 44"/38"/47" and got the XL (US14-16). I'm usually a 14 in most brands and am wearing it over a thin, long sleeve top and jeans. The L was 44" according to the chart, so didn't allow for any clothes or movement, and it's technically a 10-12, so that tracks and the XL was the right choice. The only thing I need to change, is the placement of the belt loops need them 2" lower, right above the pockets, but it's ae problem as I have a very long torso, despite being short. If your proportions are standard, the belt should sit at your natural waist. The belt itself IS long if using the buckle, but just long enough if you prefer to tie it robe style. It was actually a nice coat, but the color was not what it looked like online, it was a lighter tone and more pinkish. The length was also shorter than I prefer, though the rest of the fit was very good. Just not my preference. Other factors like value, quality were not the issue for me. Read more
Great coat for this price. Nice classy style with deep pockets and, what's important to me, a decent inner pocket that can accomodate an iphone 15. I'm 5'9, 138 lbs with 34" chest, 29" waist and 40" hips. I purchased M, and the length is around knees. It's a bit loose in chest and waist without the belt, but I like how it sits on me allowing for layering yet moving comfortably. The fabric is slightly elastic with a soft touch, doesn't look cheap at all. The wine red color is indeed warm dark red as I expected, not that cherry-like as on the description photos. Runs smaller than it should. Double-breasted front not wide enough of an overlap! High waisted belt loops and very long belt. The hood buttons come undone often, but is a great depth for rain and wind. Great magenta color more than red. A good length for covering dresses or skirts. I'm not having much luck ordering clothes from Amazon. This is my third send back recently but, I was really excited to get this coat! It was the exact style and color (royal blue) that I've been looking for. I was immediately disappointed when I opened it. The hood came discolored and/or dirty. The fabric feels cheap and is noisy when you wear it (an odd quality for a coat). I might as well had ordered one from Temu or Shein. Kudos to those who like it. Not for me. Read more
I wanted this as a rainproof jacket That could be layered with a sweater for chilly weather. I measured and followed the sizing guide, and since I wanted a roomier fit, went up a size. Although it fits around the hips, waist and bust it is certainly not roomy. The arms are a little snug and definitely would not work with a nice thick sweater. The hood snaps come undone very easily. I ended up stitching som small Velcro spots next to the hood snaps to make sure I didn’t lose the hood. Had I not already worn it I would have returned it. It does look nice, seems well made but definitely size up at least one size if you want this for any sort of layer for cooler weather. Read more
