Update May 2019. I bought another one of these Chuckit! beds. After using the originally purchased bed around the house, in the car, etc., I ended up using it as a crate pad for my Border Collie over the last year while in dog class. It fits in the medium crate well. I like that it goes up the sides a bit (see picture) and I can collapse the crate down with the pad inside. Directions say to machine wash warm, tumble dry low. I have washed my original bed a few times, but I used cold water in our front loading washer and hung it up using the loop to dry. The original pad has held up great. I bought the second pad to use around the house, in the car, hikes, walks, etc., like I did with the first pad. For me, this travel pet bed has been a great find. Light, packable, washable, and my dog likes it. I originally purchased this bed in March of 2017 to use with clicker training as I wanted something light that I could easily take anywhere and this bed fits that need. I tried it gray side up and blue side up. The gray side definitely has a warmer feel to the touch. The blue side will make a rustling sound when rubbed, but it has not been a problem for us. I like the little loop tab on the bed that can be used to hang the bed on a hook to dry if it gets damp and I like that one can put the bed in the stuff bag to minimize the packing space needed when traveling. The bed is not thick, but it is just fine for using on the floor, ground, or in the vehicles. This bed is good for hiking, too. If you get in a windy situation, you can use a tent peg or something similar to stake the bed down using the loop. I have not washed this bed and if the need arises, I hope it will wash well because I really like it! I would definitely buy again. Read more

Perfect bed for traveling! This dog bed stuffs easily into its stuff sack (similar to a sleeping bag but much smaller), and can be compressed down pretty small. It is very light weight and has two different sides (I'm assuming one side if to be used if it's really hot out and the other side is more plush). When my 70 pound Siberian Husky sleeps on her bed, she usually curls into a ball, so this was the perfect size (but if you have a starfish-sleeper, then depending on the sized dog, this may be too small). Really, I just wanted to be able to have something when I travel on the road that would be comfortable to her that made her feel like home. I laid this down on her bed for a few nights so it would get her scent on it and the first night we spent at the hotel, she willingly went over to her new bed and curled up into a ball. Definitely made me a happy mommy to see that my puppy was comfortable. I am planning on using this while camping as well and I'm confident she'll love it then too. The bed and the stuff sack are well made and the price is unbeatable. I wouldn't suggest this as as everyday bed because it doesn't offer much support, but as a travel bed (like a sleeping bag does for humans), is definitely worth it! Read more

Stuffable, washable, and tough. After having the first one for a few months, I bought another one to keep at home. My old dog enjoys it as is or with a blanket folded on top, which the napped surface holds in place. Is soft and thick enough while also being lightweight. Read more

We bought two of these beds and overall are happy with them. I can't speak yet to how well they clean or how long they last, but they are good for their intended outdoor use. They come in really cute blue bags like little doggie sleeping bags. They are pretty thin as other reviewers have stated. When we use them outside at home we stack one on top of the other so there is more cush and both of the beagles lay on top of the stacked beds with plenty of room. But when we take these traveling in their adorable little doggie sleeping bags, we generally let them each sleep on their own bed and they don't seem to mind that the beds don't have much squish. We left the beds out in the rain and they completely filled up with water. They were really heavy and took a long time to dry. Other outdoor dog beds we've had in the past were not like this so we were surprised. But once they dried they look just like they did when they were new. We have not had the issue other people mention in their reviews about the beds blowing or sliding away, but they are pretty light so I can see this happening. We do leave them out overnight and no issues so far, other than the rain. The gray top side is baby soft material and the blue bottom side is a thin, tent-like material. The beds are perfectly functional just not as cushy as we want them to be. But this could be a case of "be careful what you wish for" because if they were any thicker they would be harder to travel with. Overall the beds are doing their job, and the dog seemed to like them. Great pad for price. Underside is a good for outdoor spaces/slightly damp ground, and top is nice and soft. Dog took right to it. And this (mostly) fits in a Ruffwear Dog sleeping bag (medium I think?). Ever so slightly too large but Iβd rather extra cushion spots. Will use this when at coffee shops/restaurant patios. Not supportive enough for a typical, every day bed, but not designed for that. Really great for on-the-go use and additional padding when camping, driving, etc. Read more

This is an awesome portable doggie bed! Very durable almost like durable, soft sleeping bag bottom, with an even softer top. Perfect size for almost all dogs. Easy to wash and clean, even washing machine capable on delicate loads. My dog instantly went to it, rolled around and got his scent on it, then passed out asleep. Comfortable buddy?!! He loves it. We use it on the porch / lanai, and take it inside for him while we settle in watching TV. He loves it so much I am buying another. One for porch / lanai, one for inside to watch TV. I highly recommend this product! Read more
