I agree with the other reviews that it would benefit from the main pocket being divided or the sides having more support. Otherwise, it's fine. This unstructured tote/ messenger bag is well-made and sturdy. The color is a muted purple rather than “in your face” purple, so it would be a great accessory with any wardrobe palette. A flap covers the zippered opening to the main, open compartment, which has a single, small open pocket one one side that also has a zippered section on it. The end pockets are wide enough and deep enough to securely hold my Contigo travel mug, which is not something you find on every bag: many ‘water bottle pockets’ are too small to be useful. An extra zippered pocket on the inside of the flap would be nice for pens, etc.; but the flap does serve the purpose of protecting the main compartment from rain and weather. The strap hardware is plastic, but seems sturdy and is easy to adjust the length for carrying on your shoulder or cross-body. Zippers are strong, durable, and slide smoothly; seams are well-constructed, and the thick canvas fabric should hold up to daily use. Read more
