The earrings: I really like the tortoise and gold combination. The gold line down the middle gives them that chic and polished look. The 18K gold plated finish gives them a nice shine. The sterling silver post was comfortable for all day wear. I do not have sensitive ears, but this may be a good feature for those that do. The hinge moves smoothly and lines up straight. They stay clasped well and open easily when ready to remove. They are lightweight, stylish & can be paired with both high end or casual outfits. I feel the hoop size would look nicer if a little smaller. The quality meets basic expectations, but is not consistent with the price point. The gift packaging: While the extra gift packaging is a nice thought (ribbon, pouch, card), I don't feel that the style matches the product or the consumer's style. The earrings have a modern & polished look, while the packaging looks like it's for a little girl. For example, the heart dandelion inside the card is very juvenile. And the quote "For you happy every day", doesn't make sense in the English language (see pic). Sellers should ensure their grammar is appropriate for the customer’s language. The gift packaging actually makes the product look tacky and devalues the actual earrings. It includes a pouch to store the earrings. The pouch opens and closes smoothly and is a nice size for the earrings. I feel the pouch is just for aesthetics and is not required, as they are not fragile earrings that need to be stored separately. For daily storage, I keep these out on display with all my other earrings so I can see them easily to decide which ones I'm going to wear. So for me, the pouch is only used for travel and does not add to the value of the product. Since the seller advertises the earrings along with the gift packaging in their photos, I have reviewed and determined my overall rating on both combined. I removed 1 star for the low quality & juvenile style of the gift packaging. I removed a 2nd star for the improper English grammar on the card.
