Chic Sweater

This is a chic sweater for fall and winter. The sweater feels soft and plush, with fuzzy, soft material that’s cozy on. The top folds nicely over the shoulders, and stays in place once folded down (as long as you make sure you can either completely fold the back down by yourself, or get some help with it). The belt is thin, and the gold buckle is a nice accent to the gray color. The fit of the sweater is simple and slightly boxier than I thought it would be. My bust and waist measure 45(34m) and 32 inches. There’s no curve sewn into the shape of the sweater, and with the belt off it drapes over my body a bit, while clinging to my bust. The belt is held by two loops sewn into the waist of the sweater. When the belt’s put on it helps add a little bit of curve to the shape, but it’s not very dramatic. Because my bust takes up a lot of the top portion of the shirt, it seems to lift the waistline higher than it should be. Still, it is flattering on the front of the stomach, and very forgiving in that area as well. I think it would look better on someone with a smaller bust, as the belt would sit lower on their waist. Very warm and cozy; flattering style

This sexy off-the-shoulder warm ribbed sweater from CIDER is going to be getting a lot of rotation for my date night outfits this fall and winter. The material is much thicker and warmer than I expected, which is really nice. Nobody likes being cold on date night when you want to show off a little skin, am I right? This keeps you toasty but still exposes your shoulders and collarbone…and the straight-across wide foldover collar is extremely flattering. The ribbed material helps keep it fitted overall, although I do wish I could have ordered it in XS. I ordered small, and it’s a bit bigger on me than I would like (I am 5’2”, 115 lbs). Having said that, take a look at my photos, since if you like a bit of a loose fit then this might be just for you (or be sure to order down in size). I washed it on delicate, and dried it on low. It was just fine and didn’t shed significantly, nor did it shrink or stretch. It comes with a belt which is not the highest quality, but works well enough to compliment the look…and let’s get real, nobody’s looking at your belt if you’re wearing this sweater. For the price, this is a nice cozy sweater that is super-flattering and a great choice for fall/winter. Read more

This off-shoulder knit sweater has a flattering shape and the light grey color is really pretty, but it’s not perfect. The knit is a bit scratchy against my skin, so I’d probably wear a cami underneath. The included belt helps define the waist nicely, though the buckle came dirty and with noticeable scratches, which was disappointing. It’s a versatile style that works for both casual and slightly dressier outfits, but the little flaws stand out.
