This gingham skirt from Cider is so cute and so on trend. I am 5'8" and this skirt falls at or just above my ankles. I love that this has an elasticized waistband which I think it is more forgiving in the sizing department. I ordered this in an XL and I was surprised that it fit and I think that is because of the pull on waistband. The a-line design does flow out so if you are someone that has ugly thick thighs and/or bigger calves like I do, then just know they will be concealed. There are so many options to pair this skirt...from summer to a little red riding hood Halloween costume to incorporating it into a Christmas outfit....the possibilities are endless. The skirt appears to be well constructed and the quality of the material is good. Read more
This is a nice skirt from Cider, though I have mixed feelings about different pieces I have from them. This skirt fits a little bit smaller than the same size of a dress I have of theirs with similar material, so maybe size up... but it could be my body shape (larger middle and hips). The material is lightweight but not see-through that I have noticed and its not stretchy. The design and pattern are so versatile with how you dress up or down this can be a nice staple to your summer wardrobe! Read more
I know this is advertised as a summer dress, and gingham is considered a summer style, but this feels to me like a fall dress. The fabric is very solid / thick, much more like a fall skirt than a summer one. I think it would be too warm on a summer day. The skirt looks fantastic, and I got lots of compliments on it the first day I wore (plus one firend who criticized me for wearing gingham in the fall). I ordered a large, which I'm not sure if that was a misclick or if the XL wasn't avaiable. I normally wear an XL in skirts, but as you can sit it fit me great. So you might want to size down. It's also a true maxi--it reached my ankles, and I'm 5'10". The pockets are a tiny smidge smaller than I consider ideal, but larger than average and certainly big enough to be usable. I put my full size phone and wallet in one pocket, and my sunglasses, readers, and keys in the other. (So they definitely replace a small purse, if that's a consideration for you.) My only real criticism is that the fabric is feels somehwat scratchy. It's not terrible, but I don't want to have that on my skin all day. I knew this was a risk with a cotton/polyester blend, and I'm hoping it will go away with a few laundry cycles. Read more

I really love this skirt! Material is thicker and very nice quality. It's a super cute cottage core type skirt, perfect for skirt lovers everywhere. Read more
My wife grabbed the red gingham and it just works. The fabric has enough body to swish when she walks, not cling, and the print reads cute without feeling like a costume. With cowboy boots and a denim jacket, it looks like we planned an actual date instead of errands. Fit feels true for her. The elastic waist is comfortable and the skirt is on the full side, which gives it great twirl. That fullness can add a little width at the hips, so she pairs it with a fitted tee or a cropped sweater to balance things out. Length hits a bit above her ankle. Pockets are real and deep enough for a phone, which she loves. Fabric is light to medium weight and not see-through in daylight. Small nitpick: the fullness makes it a lot of skirt if you are petite. If you ever need to hem it, the trim at the bottom means a tailor will have a bit more work. Bottom line: fun, easy, and surprisingly versatile. If your style leans boots-and-tee, this is an instant outfit. My wife likes it, and I like that it looks great with her cowboy boots. Read more

SO SO feminine and adorable! I really love this skirt. The sewing is nice and the garment itself is just so sweet. It is very nice and I although I think the price point is a tad high ( I would say it should be about $7-10 less), I am pleased. I like the notions and details. I like the red and white color. The elastic is sewn in well and looks like it won't roll. I do think the skirt is very FULL. For my frame which is 125 pounds, size 4 US ladies, it is quite long and very full. It is almost overwhelming on my body type. This may just be me, but it is just so much fabric. I look like I'm wearing a full on prairie skirt or costume vs what it looks like on some of the other reviewers. <-----so cute ladies! I think I will try it with a blouse or tank top first but it would look darling with a coordinating sweater from the same company. I am impressed with the quality! I love the red & white...its just fabulous. This would be a sweet holiday skirt, or to wear for Valentine's Day, on a date in the park/picnic, etc. I like it enough that I may have it altered so some of the fabric can be reigned in. Read more
This has a stiff feel to it. The fabric feels like that of a tablecloth making the quality not the greatest. The style is something best fit for costume wear. There are no pockets and I wouldn’t wear in the winter or as it’s not warm. The style seems like it’s made for costume wearing and not for keeping warm. Not my style I guess. Definitely overpriced as well. It may look good from a far but it’s not the most comfortable and not the best quality or feel Read more
