The kids enjoy these, including, of course, having to "draw" on the entire thing to see what the colors look like with all the black removed. The underlying colors aren't all that bright (why I took off one star) but the kids didn't seem to mind. They like doodling and erasing over and over. It was a smart move to make a way to tie the "pen" to the frame in the corner as it is then less likely to be lost. If it does get lost because someone decided to see if they could remove it in typical kid fashion, you can use the back of your fingernail to draw on it.
