This is a nice skillet with lid. Very easy to clean and having the lid with vent hole is a plus. Cudos to Amazon and Circulon for replacing the set after it arrived with a shattered lid. Nothing sticks to the skillet so cooking and cleaning is a breeze. The bottom has a full surface for even heating. This skillet will work on gas, electric and even induction stove tops. Nice addition to my cooking collection Read more

To be totally transparent, I'm a big fan of Circulon cookware (this isn't an ad, just want you to know). I bought my first set back in 2005, and I'm still using most of it (for some reason, the small frying pan in that set lost its non-stick performance after about six years). Ciculon is just a quality product and will last as long as you treat it right. So far, this pan seems to be holding to that tradition. Circulon calls this a frying pan, so I'll use that term, but the sides are pretty steep and that is something I associate with saute pans--even though not everyone makes that distinction between frying pan and saute pan. The pan is 10" in diameter--from edge to edge--and has roughly a 7.5" cooking surface. The sides are about 2" high with a slight can't to them. I was able to fit three appx. 1/3lb. burgers and a "dog-burger" (what you make when you have two spoiled dogs and a little more than a pound of ground round), into the pan, and there was enough room to flip and flatten without issues (the dogs had no complaints). I did saute two small onions and a green pepper and that was pretty easy, especially with the steeper sides. However, I could only manage one grilled-cheese sandwich at a time on standard-sized white bread. This has a nice thickness to it, and it heats evenly (I'll try to upload a shot of the grilled-cheese to show. Many of the frying pans I've tried out in the last two years, have aluminum bodies and handles, like this one, but they tend to be thinner and don't heat evenly. That makes for hotspots in the pan, and you get simple things, like grilled cheese, that just don't get done as they should be. Clean up is pretty simple. With my old Circulon pans, I often needed to use a no-scratch sponge to get into the grooves on the interior of the pan, but this has a smoother surface and, so far, doesn't need anything more than hot water, some dish soap, and a dish cloth. If it has a drawback, and it isn't a big one, it is the height and angle of the sides. My old Circulon frying pan has sloped sides, and that make it easy to get a spatula under the edge of a frittata or omelette to lift it out of the pan, or fold it in the case of the omelette. The sides on this are too steep to do that easily. However, if you have a flexible enough spatula, you can probably manage because nothing seems to be sticking to this ceramic coating. Overall, it's not a bad looking pan; it has a decent weight, heats evenly, cleans up well, and its size makes it fairly versatile. At this point, it seems worth the price. Read more

Now for some reason the pan I received and am reviewing is not showing up for review, but a different pan in this "type/set" is showing up. I am reviewing a 5 quart multi-purpose skillet instead of the 2.2 quart skillet that shows for this review. I HAVE reviewed several Circulon pans in the past and must say that I have NEVER received a pan from them that has not been top notch!!! This particular one is larger than the one showing in the listing (more than twice as big, so much more expensive.) However, this pan has the SAME "features" as the one I am reviewing as it is from the same "laser etched set", same colors also! This cooks great on my glass top stove and heats evenly and I find that NOTHING sticks to this pan or any Circulon pan I have honestly! It is possible that I will not be able to review this pan because Amazon Vine is considering that "all Circulon" pans are the same, so it would be a "duplicate review"? I hope not because this particular pan is great for larger meals, but if only this smaller skillet is available I would still recommend this one which at the time of review is selling for under $70 as this Circulon "laser etched pan" are well worth the $ IMO! (The pearl white color is great also. Read more

I love to cook even though I live in a New York City shoebox sized apartment. This past year I bought 2 ceramic pans, one 8" and one 10" both with glass covers and I fell in love with them. Totally non-stick and oven safe to 500 degrees. I decided recently that I wanted one large enough for a full meal for 4 (12" deep pan). I bought my first set of Circulon pans close to 50 years ago and I like the looks and specs of this Circulon pan, so I ordered it. Circulon doesn't disappoint. This Circulon Halo Ceramic Nonstick Frying Pan is everything I was looking for. First of all, it comes as a 2 piece set. There's the deep frying pan and then there is the glass lid. But unlike other glass lids which are either all glass or glass with stainless trim, this glass top has a silicone rim which seals in the moisture. Of course it has the handle and the hole to allow the steam to escape as expected. It's dishwasher and oven safe (up to 500 Degrees F). However the lid is only oven safe up to 350 degrees. I like the lifetime limited warranty it shows they have confidence in their products. Due to the process used to apply the ceramic surface , it resists cracking and chipping. Of course it's made without PFAS, BPA, lead and cadmium so it's a healthy alternative to the traditional non-stick surfaces. Cooking with this new pan is a pleasure. It heats up quickly and evenly and the non-stick surface is truly non-stick. It was a good investment. Read more
