I can't rememberr the last time I wrote a product review but I felt compelled to sing the praises of this training collar. We have had several Schnautzers, who are known for their "barkiness" but our rescue Schnautzer, Bella has them all beat. Her barking on a walk was so obnoxious I would be pulling her by her leash down the sidewalk because all she would want to do is bark continuously at someone across the street. Now with this dog training collar, which doesn't shock, it has performed dare I say miracle. I told my wife if I hadn't seen it I would not have believed it . Now usually instead of barking she may give a little whine that says to me, I would like to bark but I know I'm not supposed to. This is the 2nd citronella dog training collar we’ve purchased, but the first from this seller and this collar is even better than the first. We adopted a hound dog named Presley who came with some minor behaviors. First, the collar is a much better quality, rests on the dog’s neck comfortably with room to adjust, and attaches securely with no chance of coming loose. This collar has a longer charge life. The remote is longer in size and the display is much easier to read. In addition, the on/off button is wider which makes it easier to power on and off. We have been using this collar for quite sometime with positive results. Using this type of collar brings no harm to our dog. The remote has 3 levels: beep/ beep with vibration/ and citronella spray. Presley’s anxiety has disappeared. She wears her collar when she’s outside walking and if she begins to pull on the leash, I say her name, show her the remote, and she immediately stops pulling. I loved this product and it help control my dogs behaviors such as taking the baby’s toys and blankets and jumping, however the sprayer stopped working after only having it less than a month! For $70 I’m very disappointed. Read more

I was recommended by a trainer to get one of these to deter my large pup from jumping on people & other minor behavior issues. You must charge it first then fill the citronella which was pretty easy. Then you size the collar (my dog is 80 lbs and this adjusted well) and put it on. There are 3 options- beep, vibrate & spray. Carry the remote with you and when the pup does something they shouldn't, hit one of the buttons. My pup reacted to the beep and spray, not so much the vibrate. I did the spray 1 or 2 times and he got the idea about jumping up....he does it.much less. I don't leave the collar on, only put it if he does something. Works well! Read more

Update: I had an issue with the new collar. The company stepped up to the plate and sent me a replacement. I recommend that you try this collar as a humane training device. This collar is a terrific training aid for our 9 month old 60 pound Golden Retriever. He has (almost) stopped counter surfing, and eating mud and grass. He drops whatever he has in his mouth when he's told, leaves-it-alone when told. However, after a month an a half of use the collar will not respond to the remote. And it's 18 days over the refund date. I've tried to contact the seller, to no avail. However Amazon has agreed to a return and refund of the item. I've already ordered a new one. Maybe this one will last until our pup is old enough he doesn't need it anymore! Further update...July 2024 The replacement collar developed a crack, allowing the citronella to escape. I bought this because I trained a previous dog with one and truly loved the convenience of it. It worked well. Flash forward 10 yrs and a new puppy. I got this one. The first time I had to refill the spray, it wouldn’t work. When I place the spray nozzle into the hole to refill it, it sprays right back at me. And yes, the collar itself is empty and in need of more. Maybe avoid this particular one and try another. Read more

I have two Bark Machine 9000s, aka Corgis. We live in a first floor apartment and they will bark if a mouse farts in the woods a mile away. I am pretty good at ignoring things but I work from home as a sales person and they were driving me nuts on sales calls. I didn't want to use a shock collar and I also didn't want something that would go off when I didn't want it too and confuse the dogs. This thing is PERFECT. There are 3 levels, a beep, a vibrate, and a puff of citronella I can't even smell but the dogs must be able to. I control when it goes off. The point is to not for the dogs never to bark, but to only bark once, or if there is actually something unusual. But also to shut up when I tell them too. I never thought it was possible but it took TWO WEEKS and I don't even NEED the collar anymore. I started by saying QUIET when they barked and then did the beep when they didn't be quiet. Now they bark SO MUCH LESS and if they do, I say QUIET and they shut up. Just buy it. Don't think about it. Read more
