The measurements given in their information are accurate. You can use this as a clutch or use the attachable, gold plated chain. The outer design looks very stylish and the chain is a bright, shiny gold. I am about 5' 6" tall and the purse sits just about even with the top of my hip when using the chain. With all my items inside the purse, it expanded to about 2 1/2" wide. If you carry bulky items, I don't think this purse would work for you. But, if you're like me, you're looking to pare down and carry less items. The info says that this has built in RFID protection but I have no way to test that claim.
