Ok don’t judge this cool lipstick / lipgloss kit by the lumpy examples in my picture lol I have an extremely independent 8 year old. She wanted to do this all on her own so I let her. She had a great time getting to explore the instructions and create something all on her own. Everything seemed to be going perfectly until she completed the “setting up” period for each to solidify. That’s when she realized she kind of mixed up the lipgloss and lipstick instructions lol I’m here to tell you though, this is made of high quality stuff! Both products glided on my lips very smoothly. Once spread on my lips, it felt so moisturizing and nourishing FOR HOURS! The fact that my kid was super entertained for hours and that the high quality ingredients render better-than-store bought results for the lip products makes this a great value for the money. The media could not be loaded. Really cool set! I really enjoyed doing this with my daughters. They are a couple years shy of the suggested age of 8 yet, but it was really fun with supervision. You do need a microwave and also some agile fingers (to get the little pearls into the compartment), all of which I helped with, but the rest was all them! Not only was it a fun activity, but they were able to mix like scientists and One of my biggest complaints is that the big part doesn't disassemble back into the box. We had so much fun making it but when I went to put it away, I couldn't get the big part to go down in size so now it's taking up more room than I would have liked. I wish that the big pink dispenser was more than just for looks (which is what makes it magical for the girls, but doesn't really do much else besides give you a bead of color when you push the button), I wish it also stored the items, not just displayed them. It lost 1 star because of the storage issue, but if that doesn't bother you, then consider it 5 stars. It comes with so many options, the combinations seem limitless! Even a color changing vile! I haven't done lipstick yet, but the lipglosses were AMAZING, super soft and smell great (yes! 2 scents are included!) I like that there were different variations of pink and not random colors, they really put thought into what girls would want. Read more
